I think you're thinking of Columbus Day which is October 10th. Memorial Day is in May.

You might see a slight increase in crowds but Columbus Day isn't a big holiday down here and most people have to work that day...I know I do.

Thanks for asking this question. We arrive in Orlando on 10/8 and I was worried if I should avoid the parks for that weekend due to the holiday. Sounds like crowds may be slightly larger but not as large as some other, more major, holidays.
