Memorial Day Weekend speculation report. (Get ready to rummmbllllllllllle!)

I'm going to disagree and say that I don't believe any of the parks will close to capacity over Memorial Weekend
Not saying they won't be crowded, they will be
Just not going to reach any closure more than the lowest level, for walk up, 1 day ticket buyers only.

Wouldn't be surprised to see AK at capacity.
Disney is not THE big Memorial Day spot, many kids are still in school. Folks use this as a pool weekend, beach, picnics, etc.
Our son graduates over Memorial Day weekend, plenty of graduations that Saturday.

On the other hand, everyone has to be the first to see something new at Disney. A 3 day weekend is a good excuse to go. Others may stay away due to anticipated crowds. Personally, I think AK will be jammed with not much of an increase at the others.

I'd be surprised to see even AK close. We'll be there and I do expect it to be more crowded than I've ever seen it
Just know how big the park is so I'd be quite shocked if it closes to capacity.
Maybe to walk up guests wanting to buy 1 day tickets but not to anyone else.

We'll be there 25-30. Going to AK day before Pandora opens (hopefully it will be less. Yay because of that) and then plan on going over for one of the evening EMH's just to walk through. Have no desire to ride the flight ride at all. I'd do the Navi River ride if there was little to no wait, but they don't excite me, so I'm good not going on them.

This is a birthday trip for my husband, kinda last minute and didn't even realize about Pandora til after we booked. Oh well. We were at WDW on the 4th of July a few times so I'm guessing we can handle whatever Memorial Day throws at us.

This might be one of the most awesome things I've ever (not) seen.

Some/I believe Disney will only fly this during these very grand events.

What if they reskinned the dragon to be a banshee! That would be spectacular! If it actually happens, I said it here first! :rotfl2:

I think we all know there really is no "good time" to go anymore.
We went over Easter weekend this year and crowds weren't an issue at all. And crowds were low in late July during our trip last summer. So there still are some very nice times to go in terms of avoiding excessive crowds. They just aren't the same times of year that they used to be.

We're heading that way next Thursday, which was relatively last minute for us. Still before they announced Pandora opening though. I have my fingers crossed that most people will be at AK or Volcano Bay. I have a FP for Pandora on the 29th, but we might just drop that and go to one of the other parks instead if it's too nuts.

We arrive 5/28 and are expecting it to be super crowded. Our AK day is 5/29, but our Pandora FP aren't until later in the trip. We hope to enjoy some of our other favorites while the initial crowd is in Pandora.
