We're heading down to WDW in a few hours and I was wondering what to expect this weekend? What parks are crowded and on which days? Are the resorts packed or fairly empty? Anything special to do this Holiday weekend, other than the Star Wars thing at Epcot? Thanks in advance.

Just got back. I was told the crowds were "moderate" the line for most rides @ mk were 45- 60 min. by aroung 10 am. The weather was great. I would say 85 deg's or so. No rain just on and off cloud cover. Very nice! No real wait for monarail. buses or boats except @ close. Then maybe 5 -15 min. Not bad at all.

We were there last Memorial Day weekend, and we will be there again this weekend. :) The Magic Kingdom was EXTREMELY crowded on both Saturday & Sunday, and given that the park is open until 11pm both days with 2 Spectro's each day, I would expect the same this year.

I expect the "world" as whole to be pretty crowded this weekend. I called last night to make a PS for dinner at 'Ohana and the earliest I could get was 9:20!

We are actually planning on spending time at Epcot this weekend, because of the Flower & Garden Festival going on. Plus, Epcot is a much more spacious park so it never seems as crowded.

Also, just to clarify, the Star Wars Weekend is going on at MGM.

Have a great trip! We leave out at 5:00 tomorrow morning! ::MickeyMo

We were in the MK on Memorial Day Weekend three years ago and it was very crowded, hot, and humid. Lines were long and the kids (and adults come to think of it) got cranky. I remember standing at the castle and looking back down main street which was a wall to wall sea of people. If this had been my only experience at the MK I probably would never have gone back. We didn't go to any other parks that day. We now try to avoid high capacity days if we can help it.

However, if schedules forced me to go at a peak time I would still go but just try to time park visits to avoid the worst of the crowds.

Thanks for the info and clarification on SW @ MGM. I would have walked around Epcot a couple times before realizing! =P We'll definitely spend some time at Epcot to see the Festival...my Mom is really into gardening. This is turning out to be a pretty good weekend to go...something for everyone. Star Wars for me....Flower & Garden Festival for my parents...and of course, MK for our DD. I guess my DW is the only one left out, but she'll have fun no matter what...
