Memorial Day weekend plans?

Is it a long weekend for everyone? Do you have any special plans, family bbq, travelling to visit relatives, gardening perhaps?

My in laws are coming for the weekend.

We will celebrate Norahs birthday with dinner out tonight and then have a quiet weekend. DH will be working all weekend.

Swim meet on Saturday and Sunday. Other than that....we have no plans....

Hmmm.....Vanessa, that face tells me you're not too thrilled with the upcoming visit! I hope it turns out much better than you expect!

The Queen of the Irises has been stealthily stealing iris rhizomes from properties with colors that have caught her fancy.

She's laying low this weekend......

My sister is visiting us, so we will go shopping and I will plant some new seeds.
Hopefully I will be able to find more bulbs in the stores here. I have a bunch of flower seeds, but I want bulbs.
Does anyone know of a good site to buy bulbs that would ship to Hawaii for a low price?

Building a new dock at the cabin. Supposed to rain on and off all weekend.

Had hoped to open pool today but with Confirmation party to attend in the afternoon, there wasn't enough time for that but did some necessary yard work prior to party (mowing!)

Tomorrow (Sunday), DH is joining his brother to go to their sister's house and continue building a shed for her. Since she will not be there this weekend (visiting daughter in PA), I'm NOT going! I am thrilled because we have been spending at least one weekend day for three weeks or so at her house, which is not very close by and it has taken much time away from things I want to do. SO- while the two brothers are in Nassau county, I will be doing some GARDENING here in Suffolk County!!! YIPPEEE!!! FINALLY!!!

Monday, hopefully will be a fun day for DH and myself but weather forecast is not good.

(Why do I feel I just wrote a my life's history? Did you guys really want to know all that?)

Get out!!!! You aren't really, are you? I can see it all now....the Iris Queen behind bars!!

Tulirose and Patsy, I hope you've had a chance to get at the gardening! I'm not finished mine yet either.

Good luck with the dock work Mary! We have a list longer than my arm of things that need attending to at the cottage. I just hope we manage to get some of it done this summer.

Tulirose, our long weekend was last weekend, but today we're having a birthday bbq here, for my niece and nephew! Thank goodness it's going to be nice, sunny day!
