Memorial Day Weekend at WDW!!!

Okay before everyone starts giving me a lecture, I know this is last minute and that I'm crazy. I'm trying to stay at one of the DVC's for Memorial Day Weekend. I need a studio for 2 nights checking in on May 25th and checking out on May 27th.

I called MS this morning and everything is booked. So I asked to be put on a waitlist for all the DVC's on Disney property and I'll take whatever comes through first. I'm not picky.

Just wanted to hear everyone's opinion on what you think my chances are that one of the waitlists will come through.

Two years ago we waitlisted about 1 month out for July 4th (when Johnny Depp was there to promote POC!) and we were able to get one night shortly after waitlist. I got the last night we needed within the 7 day window by calling. This was for a 2 BR at OKW. I think you have a decent shot but have a back up plan.

We got two nights in a studio at BWV by waitlisting everywhere for July 2 and 3 a few years ago. One came thru preferred view, and then I had a choice of BW or preferred for the second night. Magic does happen

My GF got her points added in the system yesterday. She had just closed on an OKW resale. She reserved May 26th I bdrm SSR and 27-28 studio SSR. She's only waitlisted for the 25th. I bet you get something.

Have you looked a larger unit? There may be something available

Don't forget about the seven days out when no waitlist is followed. First come, first served. I've got some amazing inventory in those days just before check in.

There is really no point in speculating. Anything can happen. Even if you get in, you may wish you hadn't. The crowds are outrageous! Good luck either way!!

I've always had luck with waitlists as long as I'm open to any DVC resort. I'm glad the OP got something so quickly! We'll be at AKLV one bedroom concierge for that week and can't wait! I don't care about the crowds- I may not even leave my gorgeous resort room/resort!---Kathy
