I am a Disney rookie compared to many here so I am asking for assistance for a Memorial Day Weekend 2023 trip. I checked a few sites that I have used before to book rooms and have found very little. I believe I found Swan or Dolphin on one site, but that was about it. I checked rates through Disney and they are not horrible, but if there are other places to look I would appreciate help finding them. Maybe I am too early or late to the game for that weekend, but I just can't run anything to ground elsewhere.

Criteria-
May 25th-30th

2 adults, queen or king bed

Not interested in All Stars. Pop and AoA would be our preferred because of Skyliner (wife likes it a lot). Another Skyliner resort might be feasible. A smoking deal on a monorail resort would be wonderful.

You will almost never find a deal on the Polynesian, so for monorail resorts, you'll be limited to Grand Floridian and Contemporary. Both of which will have a high rack rate around MDW. Even with a discount, you'll pay quite a bit. That is, if a discount is even released.

My recommendations would be as follows:
  • Wilderness Lodge - You can take the boat to Magic Kingdom. Bus service can be hit-or-miss.
  • Yacht Club/Beach Club/Boardwalk - All are within walking distance to the Skyliner.
  • Contemporary Resort (Garden Wing) - On the monorail loop. Typically, these rooms are much cheaper than the main building. If you absolutely want to stay on the monorail loop, this is probably your best bet.
  • Pop Century - I'm not a fan of the value resorts, but there is a huge cost savings here, even without a discount.
All of the above typically receive a discount directly from Disney. If you book now with Dreams Unlimited Travel, they can apply the discount once released. Less stress for you, as you won't have to keep checking for the discount to be released.

It's too early for discounts. They will offer discounts to fill rooms, so various resorts and room categories might be offered, but that would happen a few months before.

Swan Dolphin uses a dynamic pricing system, as the rooms fill prices go up. Looking on their site the Swan has rates as low as 259 for a king non-view room (pre-pay) or AAA rate for $254. Doubt you'll find Disney prices that low, part of why I love staying at S/D - I save money. Plus now you get the same benefits as the Disney Deluxe resorts.

While I wouldn't mind S/D my wife really enjoys the theming at AoA and Pop. I am going to pitch it to her tonight though and see how it goes.

EpcotPhoenician, thank you for that site. I will give them a shot.
