The "Cast"
Me: 30 Year Old Disney-a-holic, librarian; 6 months pregnant with baby girl
DH: 34 Year Old NASCAR Loving Disney Enjoyer(he likes it, enjoys it, but isn't quite the fanatic I am) and elementary school principal. Great husband, great dad. 'Nuff said.
Ben/DS: 4 year old Disney fanatic already.

(Trying to add photos to this so please bear with me if they don't show up!)

Since we were up so late the night before, we sleep in until about 9:30(we’re still on Central time too, so this is 8:30 our time). I was actually awake a lot earlier, but I wanted to let the guys sleep so I laid there as long as I could. I decided to go on and get up and get a shower since it takes me longer to get ready anyway.

When I get out of the shower I hear the tv, so I know Brent and Ben are awake. We all get ready and the plan today was either EPCOT or AK. I asked the guys which they wanted to do, and Brent suggested we try and eat at BOMA then head over to AK. Brent had been telling Ben about the Boneyard for the last few days, and we wanted to get there first, because we knew all day we’d hear, “Are we going to the Boneyard now?” if we didn’t, lol. It was already 10:30, and I had no idea what time BOMA stopped serving, but I called and they said nothing was available as 10:45 was when they stopped seating.

We decided to go down to Spoodles and check out theirbreakfast. I had looked at their menu on Allears.net and it seemed like something we would like. I was right!I had the French toast with banana brickle and orange juice, Brent had Mickey waffles with sausage, and I ordered some sausage and chocolate milk for Ben(he is SUCH a picky eater!). Brent and I both really enjoyed ours, but Ben didn’t touch his. I used my “I’m pregnant so I need the calcium” excuse and drank some of Ben’s milk(just hated to see the $2.00 we paid for it go down the drain--—milk isn’t something you can carry around in 90º weather for when he’s ready for it).

Anyway, we decided to venture to AK-and lo and behold it is the first bus to pull up when we get to the bus stop. This is when Ben’s obsession with busses began. Last year we stayed at the Contemporary and he loved seeing all the monorails(Last year’s catch phrase was “Hey, blue monorail!” or “Hey, red monorail!”), this year we seemed to see the busses more. Every Disney bus that would go by Ben would point out and say “Look! Another Disney bus!” I’m sure everyone on the bus was tired of him saying that by the time we reached AK, but he wasn’t being too loud.

We head straight for Kali River Rapids—a family favorite. I was going to forgo this one because it has a warning for pregnant women on it. I really wondered about this—I could see not going on the Mountains or even the Safari(though many of the roads we drive on are much bumpier, and riding around on a golf cart is pretty bumpy, too)but I really thought the baby and I could have handled this one. But, I didn’t want to chance it so after we saw there was no wait posted(which I thought was extrememly odd) I sent the guys on up and I headed back to get FP for us for ITTBAB. When I got back I stopped at a side cart to buy a fan(or as Brent calls it, the $17 water bottle) and I see the guys heading back towards me—Kali was broken down. Brent says they stood in line for about 15 minutes without moving and finally somebody asked what was going on and they were told it was broken. So we head back towards ITTBAB. We had about 15 min before our FP time, so we watch ducks for a while and “duck” into a shop to cool off. Brent finds a polo shirt he likes so we buy it and send it back to the resort. We head over to ITTBAB. This is a first for Ben, and he loved it, except for the part where bugs “run under your seat”.

Then we head over to see “Tarzan Rocks”.
On the way we stopped for ice cream to take in. Ben got a Mickey bar, Brent got a Toll House Sandwich and I got a Powerade. Ben took literally 2 bites of his ice cream and the rest fell off the stick and in his lap. So he was now covered in chocolate(why do I even buy white tshirts for a 4 year old boy?His shirt enjoyed the ice cream anyway). We also passed the construction for Expedition Everest and it looked pretty cool. Ben was saying he definitely wanted to ride it next time. We got to the theater and found our seats with a few minutes to spare. When they made everyone scoot together it got VERY hot. The show was good, but I really felt like it was too hot in there. After Ben drank/spilled much of my Powerade on him, we got a picture to show how much he was enjoying the snacking part of his trip. After Tarzan Rocks we went back to Kali and got another FP. Then we headed over to the Boneyard to let Ben play for a while. He still wasn’t 100% over his cough but got to play for a few minutes before the coughing really started to kick in. The Boneyard was a little scary for me at first—it is spread out and is hard to keep up with the little ones—but once Brent and I figured out that one of us could stay at the top and the other at the bottom we could keep up with him pretty good.

Ben’s asthma started kicking in and he started coughing so we had to pull him off there. Then Ben’s nose started bleeding a bit(this happens sometimes when he is having allergy problems) so we got it to stop and decided to forego the FP for Kali and head back to the hotel.

I went down and got us pizza from the Spoodles window(we’ve eaten here twice in one day now!) and it wasn’t a bad deal really—11.99 for a 12 “ cheese pizza. While it was cooking I went in the General Store and picked up a 2 liter of Diet Coke, 2 bags of chips, salsa, and donuts for breakfast. I figured since we weren’t going to be there long we probably wouldn’t get back out to the grocery and just decided to pick up a few things then. We ate the pizza and rested for a while.

We then decided to go swimming for a while. We had a great time swimming and Ben was really wanting to try out the “Clown Slide”. I finally took him up and let him go down, while Brent waited at the bottom. Somehow Ben got turned around as he was going down and Brent said as he came out the bottom of the slide his eyes were as big as saucers. He decided he didn’t want to go again for a while(he later changes his mind on this one).

We went back to the room for a while and rested a little while longer(I think there was some kind of NASCAR race on Brent was watching). Then we decided to head out to the BW to search for desserts. Brent had his heart set on a Rice Krispie Treat, but when we went into Seashore Sweets we didn’t see them, nor were they at the Bakery, but they did have the ones shaped like Mickey so we got one of those for Ben(he ate every bite of this!) and Brent and I went back to one of the vendors. Brent had a Diet Coke float and I had a chocolate crepe on a stick. I’d always wanted one of these and was glad I got to try it—it was good. We sat by the lake while we ate and people watched. Then we strolled down the BW and caught one of the peformers’ acts, then went in the Character Shop(can't remember the exact name--it's right by the General Store), where Brent spotted Mickey baseball jerseys he wanted to buy for all of us. I was skeptical that he would find one to cover my belly, but the child’s XL seemed to do the trick! We also bought a couple of postcards and a bucket of green army men for Ben—went back to the room and were off to bed!
