Memorial Day & early June

I was planning a family trip, with children, for Memorial Day weekend and the first couple of days of June.
I have since heard that the first week of June is "Pride" week, which is a gathering of gays & lesbians at Disney parks & resorts.

Does anyone know about this?
Has anyone been there with younger children at the time?
