Memorial Day at MK?

Does anyone have any idea of the crowds on Memorial Day in the MK? Would another park be less crowded? Memorial Day will be our first day at the World and the kids always want MK first. Any thoughts or suggestions. We will be there for 10 days so there will be plenty of time for everything.

Pretty much any other park will be less crowded, but that's basically the rule on any holiday. MK is always the most crowded park on holidays -- Christmas, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4 -- pretty much any time there are more people on property, you'll find the bulk of them at MK.

If you're ready for the crowds, you shouldn't have any problem negotiating some rides and attractions, but there will be long lines and probably hot and humid weather. I'd get there as early as I can, spend a few hours to get that MK "fix" and then be ready to move out to somewhere else if it gets to be too much.

I agree with WDSearcher, if you want to go to MK on your first day, do so. Just make sure you arrive early and you can do a good bit before the crowds become to big. Then ride the monorail over to Epcot. That's our first day for our trip too. I think we are going to Epcot on Memorial Day, the rest of our party arrives that day late in the afternoon, so I think will save MK until Tueday. Enjoy..
