Which of the following is defined as a "violent vortex rotating in the same direction as the Earth?"

I went with Cyclone on this one.

Have a great day!

I was having trouble with this one, too. The only thing I could rule OUT was Gustnado, because they're not violent.

I guess I'm leaning towards "cyclone." Which could be used to describe the others, I think. I couldn't find a clear definition on weather.com. :(

On second thought, I'm leaning towards "tornado" because it's defined as the "most violent vortex storm on earth."

"What's The Difference Between Cyclones, Tornadoes, And Hurricanes?"
"...B. Cyclones:
A cyclone is any area where the winds are turning
counter-clockwise, or in a circle to the left. This
includes hurricanes, tornadoes, some thunderstorms, and
other areas of Low pressure.
Cyclones tend to produce stormy weather of some kind.
People often use the word "cyclone" to describe one of the
examples above, which is why you sometimes hear someone
call a tornado a "cyclone"...."

Thanks, Lori.

But I'm still not sure which one I'm going to pick.

So much agonizing over a few points....

I know what you mean! One would think Memolink could be more accurate.
