Some Online Tools and Services Will Be Down for Maintenance in Mid-November
In order to provide you with a smooth booking process, some online tools and services will be down for scheduled maintenance select dates in mid-November.

The following tools and services will be unavailable from Sunday, November 15 at 10:00 PM Eastern Time through November 16 at 5:00 AM:
- The Member Online Booking Tool
- Personal Membership information
- Online payments of loans and dues
- Vacation Points information (activity and online banking)

The following tools and services will be unavailable Tuesday, November 17 from 3:00 AM to 9:00 AM Eastern Time:
- The Member Online Booking Tool
- Vacation Points information (activity and online banking)

All of us at Disney Vacation Club appreciate your understanding as we update our systems, and we look forward to welcoming you "home" again soon.
 
November 15 is the day they will start taking reservations for the member cruise and they expect for that cruise for there to be heavy phone volumen possibly for a few days, and are currently actually recommending on the phone that you use the online system to make DVC resort reservations at that time rather than calling. Thus, now taking the site down at the same time may result in extremely long delays as both the cruise callers and all the DVC resort reservation callers will hit at the same time.
 
I had that same concern re: Nov 15 but it looks like the services listed will be available most of the day. The maintenance starts at 10pm eastern. They are scheduled to be available again after 5am on the 16th but my experience has been that scheduled maintenance often goes on longer than planned.
 
Do you think they might have read all the negative complaints about the availability tool and will do something about it??? We can only hope.

DVC seems to be more interested in making our website look like Disney's website. The availability tool was better before the make over, it's current format looks like the availability tool for a Disney cash resort but it isn't user friendly for a seasoned DVC member. They might be loading the dues bills knowing that they don't intend to change anything at the association meeting.

got through but they will only help you if you plan on booking a vacation within the next 5 days. i guess my reservation for next summer isn't important. thanks disney.

Did you try booking it online?
 
People are reporting on another thread that MS is open for all business again as of 2:30pm. The phone system is a little confused (someone got a message when they called in that MS was closed for training and that is not true) so just be persistent.
 
Today until 2:30 they were only taking Member Cruise bookings. They always do this on a Sunday for MC's once a year. I thought they announced it on the website. Anyway, it's over now, and the cruise is sold out.
 
Yeah, I got through about 3 pm. The person I talked to said that MS was devoted solely to the DVC cruise. She said there should have been a message when you called in that said this, but all I ever got was a busy signal. I was able to do what I wanted, so it was no big deal.
 
Hope everyone was able to get through and get what they wanted!

Nope...and not only is online booking down, but I called at 9am sharp and there is a message saying that they have a "system-wide outage" and I should call back at 10:00am. I was hoping that with online booking down, I would have a leveled playing field in trying to get my BWV reservation with my transferred points. There is still a chance, but now I have to wait another hour.
 
Geez. First the listed time was 9 AM, then 10 AM, and now they have it listed as 11 AM.
