So any other Canadian DVc Members going on the DVC Members Cruise Sept.12-16/2010 ??? DW and myself are going and it will be our first cruise of any sort.... got a cat.5 stateroom.. :yay:

I'm jealous! We went last year (only 3 night cruise) but I loved it! (after I got over my motion sickness the first night)
You will have a lot of fun and there is always something to do.
The only thing I would recommend is to bring your own non-drowsy Gravol pills and take one BEFORE you board the ship. The pills they provide at the infirmary knock you out!
I loved our day at the beach at Castaway Cay where I got up close and personal with Jack Sparrow....woo hoo!
Enjoy your cruise! :yay:

Hubby and I can't decide.... do we really want to use our points for the cruise...

I'd also like to know also if this is worth it -- the number of DVC points needed is relatively low compared with a regular cruise. But is it really that enjoyable? Seems like you just hop on the boat, cruise to CC, then cruise around the Bahamas and back to CC. I don't mean to simplify it, but it doesn't really sound that exciting!
We've blown a chunk of our points now on a DCL booking for next year, but once you've caught the bug, you're always planning for 'next year'!

You have to remember that it is a "Disney" cruise. So there is lots of Disney entertainment, shows, characters, parties, etc. To our suprise, the cast of the show "The Suite Life on Deck" were on board. My two daughters and my niece were in heaven!
There is an adults only pool, bar and lounge so you can escape from all the 'noise'.
The Disney cruises do use a lot of points. I did have to borrow points from my next use year for the cruise. We only did the 3 night mainly because I wasn't sure I would like cruising. I didn't want to be stuck on a ship for a week if I didn't like it. Next time I would like to do the 4 night cruise then spend a couple of days at our home resort just to relax.
