For those who have added room notes, was anything done?
I have a family trip with multiple families this summer, many of the traveling party, including me, will have this trip be the first time to Hawaii. I was thinking about putting that in the notes. No one in traveling party has been to Aulani either. I am wondering if adding this to the reservation notes would even make a difference or do they do something for those first-timers.

Okay. I have just seen some videos where they did something special for them.

Also, the "traveling with" is something important that I have not done, but need to do. Thanks for that information

It's worth noting that they'll try their best to accommodate large parties traveling together, but a lot depends on booking category. For example, Ocean View rooms and Standard View rooms will never been on the same floor.

I was looking at the view forum and did notice that. One portion of the trip we will have ocean and another party has an island garden view, hoping for same floor just opposite sides from one another

They did give me a first time pin after they asked at check in if I had been there before.

Most guest have the same comments and req. VIEW, FIRST STAY, FIRST TRIP TO HI.
Use your req for getting rooms close to each or atleast on the same floor.

I've made room requests and have never been granted my request. I've tried calling the hotel directly, placing the request with member services, and placing the request the request via the app back when there was an option for "high floor".

If you're celebrating a special occasion, ask the front desk for a pin. Both my son and daughter was pixie dusted during their birthday trips.

A pin is about the best you can hope for. Everyone is either on their first stay, or it's their birthday, anniversary, honeymoon, graduation, divorce, weight loss, etc, etc. Everyone is special. LOL

So many people at Aulani are on their first visits to Hawaii that I do not think that sticks out as any sort of anomaly. Do make note that you are traveling together and would like rooms on the same floor, however, so they can try to give you rooms in close proximity.
