Member Services Phone Constant Busy - 4/8

Today is the day to book reservations for the neighborhood beach bash. Member services phone has been constant busy signal. Is this typical on days when these events are opened up?

Yes, it's typical for MS to be busy on the booking day of any special event.

I'm not asking if it's typical for them to be busy, I'm asking if it's typical for them to not even have enough phone lines up to handle higher than expected call volume.

You'd think they'd have a separate line to call or call branching that directed separately for special events so that people just trying to book or manage reservations can get through and do their thing.

They could put every phone rep on the phones and it would still be busy. More members are going to be calling than they have available reps.

I did a chat w/ member services, the CM told me they have plenty of staffing - the phone lines are just overwhelmed. It's just crazy that by now they can't open up more lines on days like today so people can at least get into call queues.

Well, I got a recording at around 10 to 9, just saying press 1 if you are calling about the Beach Bash. Then I waited about 25 minutes.

I finally got through at 9:30 after pressing 1 (up until then it was just going busy). Hopefully I won't be on hold too long, but at least good to finally be in queue.

I've never booked a special event before. Hopefully there will be some beach bash reservations left by the time I get to a rep.

I, too, called in about 10 minutes before they opened. It seems as though I was routed to the dining reservations hotline where they were able book the beach bash for me. I wonder if this means it will always open up an hour before Member Services.

Finally got through at 9:45, hoping I won't be on hold too long. We've never booked a special event either, I hope there are plenty of beach bash reservations to go around!

Wound up waiting on hold for 30 minutes, so spoke to a rep around 10 and was able to get reservations no problem.
