member rates for wknd stays

How do we find out what the member rate is for a wknd stay? We're staying Sat night Oct 2 for 47pts - what would be the cash cost? Im sorry but where do we find this info? And can it be the same ressie?

In my experience, the cash discount rate for members (when available) is 25% off the rack rate. You do have to pay the room tax on any cash stay and the housekeeping service is the same as that for a point stay.

If you book your cash stay through MS, you can ask to have the reservations (point and cash) "linked". If you do that, the chance of having to change rooms is small. You might have to go down to the front desk and get your room key reprogrammed, however.

I booked a member rate last May. We stayed Friday & Saturday on the member rate and then Sun-Thurs on points. They were able to link it together and guaranteed we would not have to move. When we checked in on Friday, we got keys and a parking pass for the entire week. Housekeeping was based on a Friday arrival, which meant T & T on Monday. It was treated like one reservation on points. You do not have to pay a deposit in advance, although they do require a credit card guarantee. If you cancel 5 days or less before, they will charge one night.

On the other hand, if you book a discount through CRO (such as an AP rate), they do not guarantee you will not have to move and you do have to check out and check back in to get new keys. You do have to pay 1 night in advance. You get full housekeeping for those nights. Usually an AP rate is less than the member rate. I just booked an AP rate for a Friday night which is our last night, it was $270 plus tax (OKW 1 bedroom, May 7). Member rate is $288 plus tax.
