If I'm a DVC member, my DH is a member, and each of my 2 kids is a member, does that mean we get __# of guests times 4? (For various events etc.)

No. It's usually a total per membership number.

I have 5 contracts purchased direct from Disney that are all under the same membership number. However, I have done paperwork to add my 4 adult children to the deed of two of them. Since those will now be titled differently from my other contracts, I have been told they will now be put under a different membership number. So, do we get to buy 4 more Annual Passes for that account?

Unless your kids are 18 or older, they can not be members. They must be on the deed and FL law will not allow minors on deeds.

From what I understand on the APs it is 8 per household (family members). So, technically, you get at least 8 but I'd say if your kids live on their own, they get 8 for each of their households as well.

ETA - this is actually something I'm wondering if they will limit in the future. I just read on a resale brokers website something about a limit of 4 people on a deed. I haven't had time to look into yet to know if it's legit. Obviously, you have more than 4.... so..... things are changing so fast I really can't keep up.

Yes, thank you! My older D is already on my contract (my husband actually isn't!). So, when D17 turns 18, I want to add DH and the younger D!

In the meantime, we are contemplating another purchase so I'm debating how to deed it.... Do I want to keep 1 membership? If not, should I just go for another UY? Do I want to change the deed to multiple contracts? It's all so confusing!

2 of them live on their own, with their own families of 4 and 5 members, and two live with us.

I also have all 6 of us on 3 other deeds, in 3 different accounts, but I purchased those at resale.

Well, I'm absolutely certain that you can get 8 for your household and another 8 from the separate membership....possibly 16. My kids both live with me so I can't test it! If you have your 2 that live on their own successfully get 9 (family/house hold of 5 plus family / household of 4) then I guess we'd know for sure.

I'd just make sure the ones that live with you are ordered / verified with the membership ID that is for YOUR household. Just in case.

Hope your younger doesn't need financial aid for college because her ownership of DVC will come into play. In other words, if she is filing for need, they want her to sell her timeshare and use that money.

Thanks. Pretty sure she won't. We filed FAFSA 1st year for D20 to "make sure" we didn't qualify and we will do the same for the younger (which will happen before her name is added).
