i think the answer is no, but i'm not sure and wanted to make sure...
can my mom get discounts on dining, etc., if she stays in a DVC resort on my points and i'm not there? thanks!

Possibly. Her resort ID will say DVC member and many of the dining establishments will give the discount just for showing the resort ID. That said, some are requesting the blue member card as well. Guess she'll just have to ask at each place.

She should get them, just give her your blue card to take with her just in case. Also print off a current list at the time as the info received on check in is not always up to date.
