Hi,
I don't know if it is ok to ask this question on here or not, but what is the going summer rate for HH in the studio and 1Br for DVC members? We want to use our points if we can get in at 7 months, but if not we can't we would do a cash ressie.

Thanks, Erika

I'm not sure about Studio and 1BR rates, but the 2BRs are $399.60 per night (tax included) with the DVC discount for this summer.

The discounted rate is often available on weekends but not as often weekdays - especially in the summer.

There are 21 Studios and 21 1BRs and they are popular in the summer. Late May/early June and late August may be the best chance to find a reservation within 7 months, but many have had success at other times in the summer.

Good luck! :)

In the summertime, MC rates on a studio are about $270 and for a 1 BR the rate is about $335. I don't know about other times, but in November, the MC rate for a 1 BR is only about $126 and for a studio it's less than $100. One advantage to off-season.

Not sure about the member rate but the rack rate is WOW! I looked on DisneyWorld.com for a studio for the first weekend in August. Could book one for Sat & Sun night for $389 per night! Almost $400/night for a STUDIO! OUCH!

Is it ok to make a MC cash ressie and then cancel if you can get a ressie using your points? Not sure what the cash ressie rules are.
Thanks, Erika

Not any more. It's gone up substantially in November.

We are on a split stay with points and cash my early ressie for the 2 bedroom was $399 later I added on a night and it became $520 for 2 bed room on a Thursday.

What time of year was that, and this year?
I booked a cash rate with member discount at the 7 month window for Aug 22--27 for a 2 bdrm for $360 :confused3
I was hoping for less, but guess it was a good deal after all ;)
Hoping DH will fall in love and we'll add on:rolleyes1

Maybe I should double-check with MS. That's the rate we were quoted, and that's what's on our confirmation for this coming November. I didn't think they could change the rate afterwards.

It depends on when you book the cash reservation. I have had a cash reservation at HHI go up in price when I booked far in advance.

I booked in March amd have wanted to add Thursday August 18 and did not have any open days and when it did come open it it had gone up to $460 w/o tax. I did get 1 night on points and took the $520 away so the rest with tax was $400.

What I'm concerned about is-will they honor the price they told me and put in my confirmation (I just booked it a couple months ago) or will they expect me to pay the increased price?

Never mind. I just went to the Disneyworld website, where they quote the price. In November, without members' discount, it's $177, including tax. The members' discountprice she gave me was withouyt tax, so the $126 or so is correct. The prices haven't increased.

I also had a confirmation letter for a lower rate but I guess that I booked before they knew for sure what the rate would be. I did get a new letter with the higher rate, so my guess is that you are okay if you didn't get a new letter. I think I had booked almost 11 months out for a summer stay, so that is why I had a problem. The rate went up a lot for me. Good luck!

I think we posted at the same time! Because I was so concerned, I double-checked the price. The rates for November didn't go up, according to the Disneyorld website. The MC rate for a 1 BR is $133, but that includes the tax. The rate I was told was before tax, that's the only difference.

Great news and a great rate. Enjoy!
