I was checking for rack rate cash availability of a villa on the regular Disney World CRO site, and noticed this message:

"Florida Resident, Passholder, Disney Vacation Club Member or U.S. Military? Sign in or update your profile to check for additional offers."
And when you click for more info, under Disney Vacation Club Member it says:
"Please sign in to see if special offers and prices are available."

Doesn't that message seem to imply that we can see some kind of discount for DVC Members if we're signed in? I'm guessing it's just poorly worded since Disney IT is so fail, but was curious if maybe it really is viewable online and someone has actually seen a room with a member discount rate listed.

I recall seeing DVC cash pricing online years back. I signed in and was able to book online with the 25% discount.

As far as I know, you have to call MS to book a room with the cash discount. Probably just poor/wrong wording.

Yes, you have to call MS to establish whether the DVC cash discount is available. So, I agree, poor wording.

Did I miss it? Did the OP login and see if the price changed with the DVC member discount?

"Please sign in to see if special offers and prices are available."
Maybe it's your interpretation. My understanding is that you log in to see if there are special offers; not to book those special offers. And pricing may be available for some offers and not for others. "Sign in to see if ____ is available" seems clear to me, but I guess some people could misinterpret it.

OK, so I have a question on this! If I booked a non DVC resort (CBR) before I became a DVC member would that qualify me for a discount? TIA
