i've been trying all day and all i get is a busy signal. anyone else not getting through?

I've tried the 800 # a few times throughout today and haven't been able to get through. I've just decided that it is an omen to not squeeze in one more trip before our APs expire ;)

nice - i just got through only to be told that the office is closed.

this isn't the first time i've heard people say they can't get through - what's going on with their phone service???

Members are using their 11 month window to book their Christmas vacations. The week between Christmas and New Year's Day is arguably the busiest of all for WDW and among the quickest to sell out for DVC resorts.

It isn't the phone service - it really is just the huge crush of members calling.

By next week, things will be back to "normal".

I think it also has to do with new MS days and hours (less operators on reg. time). I called today, the 2 mins before opening I got through to the message of MS hours, kept speed dialing for the next 15 min in order to get through for a 5 min wait.
Just my opinion. Anyone know for sure?:surfweb:

Doesn't anyone else think this is totally unacceptable??? I'll accept that they maybe more busy on some high demand days but day-after-day all day?? I don't buy that excuse. And yes there are those paying dues too, again don't buy it.

Hire some more MS CMs!! :furious:

Rant done. Next post.

lisareniff, I share your rant. A busy signal at Disney is totally unexceptable. I booked a regular hotel room at Wilderness Lodge yesterday and somehow it came up that we're DVC'ers. The CM asked if I'd been having trouble getting through and when I said yes, he said he's been hearing that a lot lately and even they have trouble when trying to get through to them internally.

And he spoke our words...a busy signal at Disney is unexceptable! I'm beginning to question how well thought out the growth of DVC has been.

I have been getting the busy signal as well--for the past three days. I found it odd but thought it was something to do with my phone line.:sad2:

lisareniff and Peepster I completely agree. This shouldn't have come as a suprise to MS, everyone knows this is a busy time booking Christmas/New Years. They should have extra staff on-hand to handle the volume better. Maybe they should pull some of those Sales Reps off selling and put them to work taking care of their current customer base during busy times.

Getting a busy signal all day for days on end is not acceptable not to mention the seriously lenghty wait times on hold if you do get through.

i'm starting to get really pi$$ed off

i've been trying for 3 days now to get through and it's ALWAYS BUSY.

the one time it did ring it was after 5 and that was that.

can they not figure out how to get that stupid voice thingy that directs you to the department???

i am not trying to book a room - i need to talk to accounting

one would think if it is so busy with people trying to book rooms for christmas that they wouldn't have the dues due at the same time as the 11 month window

AGRRR

I got through on my third try today at about 4.15pm local time so would be about 11.15am EST. My hold time was about 15 minutes once I did get the rining tone and in all once talking to a CM my vacation took 30 minutes to get booked.

Claire ;)

Agree entirely. Totally unacceptable for Disney. Make no mistake about it: It's being done to save our dues. They'd prefer hold times to be short so they we don't ring up a huge phone bill on the (800) number. But dozens of busy signals is unacceptable. Extend the queue and hire some CMs to cover our most basic needs.
