Member AP Discount & buying pass for December Trip

Anyone else in my situation.
We leave on Dec. 15th and I planned on buying the normal AP pass. Now that they announced the Member discount I'm a little frusterated that I miss the darn thing buy 2 weeks.

You can use this as a chance to upgrade to the PAPs for almost Free.

I haven't seen this in any documentation from Disney. Where does this info come from? Wouldn't that be great.

Yeh, we leave on Saturday morning & we are exactly in your boat, only we are using what's left (4 days) on our seven day hopper... how nice would it have been to trade those in for a credit towards the DVC discounted AP... day late, dollar short as they always say

This is the second time I attempted to add my 2c but our position just seems too complicated! Sufice it to say that I truly hope the perk stays with us because probably in '06, we'll be ready to use it. We're using too many points next year for Vero and Members Cruise to make a AP worthwhile. We arrive at SSR on Saturday with new 7 day PHPs!

You will be able to upgrade an AP to a PAP with the DVC discount, but only after January 2, 2005.

As with most WDW admission passes, just take the pass you wish to upgrade to Guest Services at any Theme Park and they will credit unused days/time from the existing pass to the price of the new pass and then deduct any appropriate discounts. If you will be going back to WDW prior to the date your AP expires, you may benefit from an upgrade to a PAP- otherwise, just enjoy the discount on the renewal or a new AP or PAP next year.

While the discount may be discontinued at any time, I'm confident that it will be around for a long enough time for WDW to evaluate the effectiveness of the program ( I expect it to be around for a loooong time! )
