Melbourne Airport?

Can anyone tell me about Melbourne Airport? I know Delta is the only airlines. Planning a second trip to Vero in the fall and looking for pros and cons. Is the car rental IN the airport or shuttle?

MLB is a wonderful airport. It's very small so it's makes getting in and out very easy. The car rental counter is near baggage claim and you walk directly across the street (a few yards) to pick up the car. The problem is the fares are generally higher and you have to make the dreaded stop in ATL to get to MLB on DAL.

There is (or at least was) a discount carrier called, I believe, USA 3000 or something similar.

I don't know where they fly from or to, though.

I know they fly out of BWI in Maryland. They have real cheap flights, but the times are awful. Like fly out at 5:00p, get in at 8:00p or 10:00p. Also, they don't have flights everyday. So you might get that flight home on a Friday, but not out on a Sunday. Very limited, limited schedules. Really not worth the hassle. I need a car for Vero Beach anyway, I'll just get one from MCO.
