I would like to go to one of these meeting so i could got to know you all .
I've noticed on here you all seem to know each other quite well & by first name terms. :)
I tried the chat room but it all moves very fast in there & found it hard to keep up as you all mostly knew each other.

Jules is the organiser I'll bump the thread for you and you are welcome to contact her I think there is still places available , she'll be the one with all the answers.

Is there nothing nearer to me & i don't do camping.
Perhaps i'll forget that then.

I thought it was the weekend after that Tony :confused3

Yes your right Joh ( blonde moment ) 27,28 & 29 July

There is a B&B down the road Goofysmate if you are interested?

I know how you feel. It is difficult to get to know everybody here. Regarding DIS meets, we don't have them that often. Since I've been here, there have only been about 5 - one in London at Planet Hollywood, one at Tony Romas in Kingston, one at a shopping centre up North (sorry, can't remember which one), one at a pub in Wiltshire and one last weekend in Tetbury. As Tony mentioned, there is also the GGG camping trip in July.

You could always organise a meet yourself or get together with some other DISers who live near you and meet up. To be honest, I have only met a few people from here. I do know people's first names, though, from posting here quite a lot. You get to know people gradually over time. Please, please, please join in on the 'chat' type threads and another thing to perhaps do is put your real name in your signature (if you don't mind people knowing) so we can call you by your first name instead of Goofysmate (or Goofy ;) )

It is easy to get the impression that eveyone 'knows' each other but, believe me, that's not always the case. There are several people I 'chat' to here who I don't know IRL. I am happy to chat to anyone really :)

i don't do camping.
Perhaps i'll forget that then.

I don't do camping either - and while I haven't decided yet whether I'll go (it is in Wales, after all :snooty: ) if I do go I will most certainly NOT be camping out :sad2:

Kaylee's organising one in Devon on 15 July. Another blonde moment, Tony? You're the guest of honour, aren't you? :rotfl:

true debs but even further away than wales.
( and i'm still sooooooooooooooo sorry we can't make your birthday:sad1: )
I think Kaylee and Miffy2003 are the real guests of honours.:thumbsup2

Thanks everyone for the replys. :)
Won't be able to go to next meeting.
I'll keep trying on here to get to know everyone as we all have something in common (Disney) :woohoo:
I think that i'm just in patient .;)
Think i'm just having a stupid day :sad1: :sad1:

NOT AT ALL, Jill, please don't feel like that, you are welcome to come and chat anytime, I know what you mean about the chat room moving fast, it is quite difficult to keep up but, as Joh says, you do get to know people after a while, even if you haven't met them for real. :hippie:

Hi Jill

Sorry to hear you are not up for the camping ! there is a nice B&B, but perhaps it is a bit too far for you just for the weekend.

You are certainly right about chat it does move very quickly....

Joh - you know you want to come to Wales, pretty please

yes Joh, just cos its a foreign country doesn't mean you have to get a new passport or anything :rotfl2:

Jules, I really, really, really DO want to come especially as Nat is gonna be there now too but I had another look at the prices for the Usk Inn this morning and we would be looking at over £300 just for the 2 of us :scared1: And you know how I feel about tents :sad2:

£300 quid, cor blimey Mrs that is shocking, its not going to be the same without you, so I will do some investigating xxx

sorry to hear that Jill, nothing worse than a bad back, my mother in law suffers badly with hers

Jill I haven't met any DISser's yet (meeting some US ones in August though!) and I've only been here since October but I feel as though I know lots of the people here. Just join in every thread going and they'll all have to get to know you :rotfl2:

Thanks for all the words of kindness. I've got over my stupid & silly day ,
Got some photos out & going to start my new hobby of scrapbooking as it's getting to warm to cross stitch now.

:thanks: :disrocks:

Hi Jill :flower3:

I have only met three other Dis-ers, but consider many more to be my friends. We will be like old buddies in no time :goodvibes
