is there a place where we can meet the princesses without doing ADR and waiting for a long period of time?

I know it is a long shot but I was wondering if someone will know as we are living on Sunday for WDW and this is our first time.

Thanks a lot!

You can meet the princesses (Or atleast three of them) by standing in one air conditioned line at Toontown in MK.

The lines can be long at both locations, but it's nice and cool with a shopping distraction at MK. Lines can be cut off at Epcot (or the character takes a break, and you end up meeting Aladdin instead of Jasmine, etc.). Unfortunately you're going at a fairly busy time, but the early bird gets the short wait times. ;)

Toontown opens at ten. I would be there at ten and walk straight to the fairies. Which is in the same tent. Their line is by far the longest wait we had. Then once done, I would do the Princesses. There wait is usually half of what the fairies are.

thanks for the tip!

Toontown is at Magic Kingdom or Epcot?

Sorry I am totally clueless.:confused3

Toontown is at the Magic Kingdom and I agree with that suggestion - get there just before 10 (when Toontown opens) and head right to the bigtop (its the store between mickey's house and minny's house) as you enter the lines are on your right.

Remember, ToonTown is scheduled to close down in Jan 2011 for the park expansion.

We met the princesses and the fairies at toontown and had NO wait. It was late at night but we were still up and going. We went from the fairies straight to the princesses. It was definitely worth staying late for. (:goodvibesWe took a midday nap.):tink:

I'll spell it out in more detail for you since you have never been to WDW. In Toontown in MK, there is a building which has 2 lines- 1 is for princesses (usually Cinderella, Aurora, and Belle(yellow dress)) the other is for fairies (usually Tink and 2 others). Those lines can get long, the fairies usually longer than Princesses. As someone said, your best bet for the shortest line is to get there before Toontown opens to be 1st in line for whichever line you want to get in. While Toontown is posted as opening at 10, it usually opens at more like 9:45. We made the mistake of getting there right at 10 one trip when we didn't know any better, and the fairies line was already an hour.

Oh, and there is another spot at MK where Tiana does meet and greets, if she is still doing them. It is over by Liberty Square.

In the afternoons at Epcot, you will find Princeses out in several of the different countries. The lines are usually not that bad. They do take breaks, so if you don't see them there or a line waiting to go ahead and get in , check again. You can usually find Snow White in Germany, Mulan in China, Jasmine in Morocco, Belle (blue dress) at one spot in France, and Aurora in another spot in France.

Have a great trip!!

I suggest being there by 9:45. It is supposed to open at 10:00 but it has opened at 9:45 the last three trips for us.

Here are a couple of links to look at before your trip.

Steve Soares site shows the main character meet and greets by name with general times. There are other general character meet and greets listed like the Animation Courtyard at DHS. Just click the park name at the top of the page. I think he usually updates the page late Saturday night.

This link shows where characters and related characters can be most often found and how frequently they appear. It appears at least fairly up to date. Ariel is showing as being at the Adventureland Veranda for example which is where she landed after the Grotto was closed earlier this year.

The line for the fairies is definitely a longer wait than the line for the princesses. Why is this? The fairies line didn't have more people from what I could tell but the wait was agonizingly long. Tinkerbell was a firecracker and worth the wait but we didn't seem to spend more time with the fairies once we arrived.

does anyone know where they are moving to when they close down toon town?
