Meeting the 7 dwarves at mvmcp

Meeting the 7 dwarves is a high priority for us this year at mvmcp. We won't be doing any rides during the party. I have 3 days planed at MK so we plan to meet the dwarves and see the Christmas shows only. I'm going on Thursday 12/7. What time should we line up to meet them and where have they been meeting at? Do they start meeting at 7 or earlier? I do plan to be in MK by 4pm because we have an ADR at the Plaza at 4. Just trying to get started on a touring plan. Thanks.

last year it was by the 7DMT ride. I was able to meet them the line was only 20-25 minutes long. But it was a very quick sit picture type thing.

What time did you get in line to have that wait? That doesn't seem so bad. I planned on an hour.

We saw them the first party night. We lined up around 6:45. I tried to find them sooner but every CM I asked didn't know where they would be. They were under a circus tent. Next to the big circus tent where the candy is handed out in Fantasyland. We waited over two hours. The lines and crowds at our party night were pretty bad. And My family felt like it was very, very short staffed. I would allow two hours and if you get done sooner you can always try another character line.

What time did you get in line to have that wait? That doesn't seem so bad. I planned on an hour.

not sure what time it was, meet them 2x it was later in the party for sure, but if you have to meet them make it your first thing you do, some times the line can be very very long. I should be going next week so I can let you know if I do the meet and greet again.

We've met them twice, two different parties, different years. First time, we line up around 6:15 and we weren't even first. Once they came out, it was quick.

The second time, we weren't even planning to try and see them but we were walking by and saw a super short line and ended up waiting 20 minutes. I suspect it was because it was right before the fireworks so most people were waiting for those to start. We finished our visit right before the fireworks actually started and I must say it was a great and different view seeing them from behind the castle.
