Meeting Sally

We are planning a our first trip to Disneyland. We have only been to Disney World because my sister lives and works there. We are somewhat flexible when we can go. My young daughter is a huge Nightmare Before Christmas fan so we thought we might go and see the Haunted Mansion while its themed.

My husband wants to go in January. I was thinking mid November or early December so we could see the ride and possibly meet Sally. My daughter got to meet Jack at Disney World last year and she was so happy. But really wants to meet Sally. We can't get to Disneyland before Halloween.

My question is will Sally be available to meet after Halloween? I like to be prepared

we went just before Christmas a few years ago and both Jack and Sally were there. The Haunted Mansion keeps it's holiday overlay during both Halloween and Christmas season.

She might be because the Haunted Mansion will still have the holiday overlay, but I can't honestly say because my 3 year old is terrified of them (though she likes them in merchandise form - *facepalm*). They are tucked in between the Blue Bayou and The Royal Veranda in New Orleans Square right now.

If you download the Disneyland app, you can actually track all character appearances. I attached a picture of Sally's info for today (9/27) and you can see the approximate times she'll be out. It can be a little off - sometimes they're a little late (sometimes, but rarely, early). All you have to do is filter by characters on the map, then tap on the character icons to see the character(s) at that particular spot. Tapping on the character you want will show you a page like what I attached. You can only view availability each daily (no looking ahead). But you could watch after Halloween to see if they are sticking around.

Thanks. That was kind of my plan. I downloaded the app last week. I was just seeing if anyone had first hand knowledge.

We just met Jack and Sally in the courtyard between Pieces of Eight and the shop with Haunted Mansion merchandise two weeks ago. The line was about 30 minutes. If I remember correctly both have been available as long as the Haunted Mansion Holiday is running, so I would aim for Mid Sep. through the end of December.

We saw Jack and Sally the last time we visited at Christmas time back in early December 2014.

Yeah, they're there until the end of the official Christmas season. We met them on January 6 last year.
