Do most brides meet with their photographer or videographer before the big day? Or do you meet for the first time at your ceremony?

For those who have met before hand, what was the reason? Engagement Portraits..etc? Do you feel the atmosphere was more relaxed by meeting them before hand..

FYI...I have Randy and Stan!

I met the Roots for our engagement pictures in May, and I can definitely say we'll both be more comfortable with them now that we've met them. :goodvibes

I wish we had met Stan while we were there, but there was no reason to! So we'll probably be great in front of the Roots, but be all shy in front of Stan. :rotfl:

We definitely 100% met with our photographer/videographer beforehand. I actually met with a few and am so glad we did. Some of the ones that most people have used on here were horrible. Some weren't willing to meet with us beforehand and others that did completely bashed the food at DW weddings and had the worst attitude/personality. Why would we want them to be there day of? FI and I made a special trip down to Orlando to interview a few different ones, as well as other vendors, tour the facilities, etc. We thought it was important to see how we got along with them and see their style. Sure, we could just look at pictures online, but anyone can post their best pictures online or send us their best videos. Pictures are the most important thing to us, so it was important we got along with them and saw their albums in person, etc.

If you already hired them, then I guess there's no need to meet with them before the wedding.
