Yeah, the person who runs the character thread over here said their leaving not long after the movie comes out. Which makes me sad, as I already know I'm gonna love this movie. Can't wait to see it Saturday! I still can't believe it's stop motion animation!!

It's a bit odd to me that the Laika characters go away so soon after the movies open. I understand that it's marketing leading up to the released, but you'd think that people would like the opportunity to meet them after they have seen the movie - even if just for a few weeks. Anyways, it's a terrific film but I doubt the characters will still be there on my trip in mid-September. I'll take a look, though!

I really hope they extend them since the film seems to be well reviewed, but only came in 4th at the box office. IDK. I absolutely loved the movie and would love to get to meet Kubo, Monkey, and Beetle. I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Does anyone know if these characters are still there currently? We start our visit tomorrow we've ing and our kids would like to see the characters if they're still around.
