Any tips? I saw him walking out for a meet at the beginning of the month, but didn't see exactly where he was going! I am fairly clueless when it comes to meeting characters at Disneyland, I know it's a different animal than WDW. :confused3

We met him a few days ago- he was standing across from the Haunted Mansion, on the path next to the water. (We could see the entrance to the Pirate Island in front of us.) We had stopped at the information booth earlier that day to see if he would be out- they can tell you where he would be meeting and what times to look out for him.

We waited for about 20 minutes- the line was shortish when we stepped in, but it was well worth it. I think Jack is one of the most interesting meets I've ever done. He really takes his time to speak with you and the friend they have for him is fantastic. I was smiling very widely when we left.

We met him in October in the little corner next to the train and haunted mansion line. He was there fairly often with Sally.....and they had the most wonderful interaction with our children! Was heaps of fun :-)

We've seen him several times near Haunted Mansion. This year there was a very short line so we stopped to say hello and get a photo. When DF's phone rang as we were finishing, he insisted on answering it. After talking for a moment, he confessed to DF's boyfriend, who was calling, that he couldn't hear him at all. It was very funny and made for an extra magical morning.

While Haunted Mansion Holiday is running, Jack (and Sally, occassionally) come out to meet guests. As the PPs mentioned, they're usually in the NOS area. In September, he was between the HM and the Train Station, over by the HM FP distribution area. Now that they've started using the HM FP, he's meeting out on the elevated walkway between the Rivers of America and HM.

Yes, he is now out on the platform closer to the river, just behind the churro cart. They try to do continuous meets (rotating two sets of characters) and usually Sally is with them, but there may be a Sally only half the time or like today, only one set of characters so they close out the line each time. They really do great character interactions and it's well worth it!
