Meeting Goofy

My DD loves Goofy and I was wandering where would be the best place for me to take her to see him? Would it be better for me to try to make a reservation for a character meal with Goofy for her to get the best interaction time? My DD talks about going to see him every day so this is a must for her to see him.

Chef Mickey's provides great interaction. We have also had great interactions with Goofy at the Meet and Greet at EPCOT and AK.

When my fiance and I went last August, we saw Goofy EVERYWHERE! or at least that's what it felt like. We first did the character meet and greet in Mickey's Toontown but they continued to see him in all the parks and at Blizzard Beach. We couldn't believe how much Goofy got around!

We met Goofy at Animal Kingdom in Camp Minnie-Mickey. He had the shortest line of any of them!

Goofy definately appears at Chef Mickey's...as well as Liberty Tree Tavern in MK. He appears at the character breakfast in AK. He is usually hanging out in the square at MK right after the park opens with several classic characters. As previous posters mentioned, he also appears in The Judges Tent at Toontown Fair (usually with Donald and Pluto) and AK. He also appears in the Character Connection area at Epcot. The only park I haven't seen him in is DHS (MGM).

My daughter also loves Goofy. We had dinner at Liberty Tree Tavern just so she could see him. We had never been before so I just wanted to make sure she would be able to see him. He actually came to our table a couple of times.

At a character dining is the best time for interaction with Goofy or any other character. They come to your table at least once, and they really interact with the kids. We ate at the Liberty Tree Tavern with Goofy. I think he also does a breakfast at Cape May.

We have seen Goofy at both LTT and Cape May Cafe. Interaction was good at both places, but Cape May Cafe was far better.

The move National Treasure 2 has a new Goofy short film at the beginning of the movie. In the short, Goofy purchases a HUGE, I mean HUGE Home Theater System. Its bigger than his house. Anyway, I asked Goofy about the movie, treated him like a movie star, and asked him how he liked his new Home Theater System. That got a big from the Goof.

I think Goofy is only at LTT in the evenings (Colonial attire), and only at Cape May for Breakfast (Beach Attire).

I just wanted to chime in that the line for Goofy and Pluto at Dinoland in AK was always pretty short and the characters really took their time to visit the kids. Not that that would substitute for meal time, but it can make for a nice 'extra' visit later (or earlier) in a trip.

We had dinner at Chef Mickey when DD was 5 (5/04). Each character stopped by our table several times it seemed. One of the times Goofy picked DD up in a big bear hug. The whole rest of the trip everywhere we went she told people, "Goofy picked me up!!" She still talks about it! We're going back in Dec. for DD's 10th birthday and Chef Mickey is definitely on our schedule!

i am a huge goofy fan and i have the hardest time hunting this "dog" down. For years we were unable to find him, but found every other character imaginable even some that i dont think are normally around but could not get him. Oct 07 we were in the gift shop in Dinoland and i caught him out of the corner of my eye so we were off (running out of the store and trying to chase down goofy) granted he got away from us. So i was bummed but low and behold as we were walking out of AK he was right there taking pics. so after many years of trying i finally got to meet GOOFY and was so happy (the highlite of my trip mind u) and we got a lot of cute pictures with both myself and goofy and my DD and goofy ( the cutest is where she is kissing him)

GOOD LUCK on your goofy hunt ---- sounds like if you want to find him you cant and if you arent looking for him he is everywhere.

hopefully in September i will have a better chance of seeing him in different outfits, we have ressie for chef mickey's, cape may and will be going to MNSSHP so hopefully i will get my GOOFY FIX

If you want some real quality time with Goofy, get an EARLY ressie for breakfast at Cape May Cafe at Beach Club. I had a ressie for 7:40 and the place wasn't busy at all (early June). I was traveling solo, yet the characters spent a lot of time with me- but my favorite was Goofy. I was at a 2-person table and he actually sat down across from me and played tic-tac-toe with me on the tablecloth! (the tablecloth is actually just a big piece of white drawing paper and they provide you with a package of crayons). He actually came around 2x and we played both times. Good times!

Goofy is usually somewhere around the hat in DHS if you dont see him ask at guest relations to the left as you go in thepark.

since my mom is a really huge Goofy fan she has to get her picture with goofy in all the parks wearing some sort of Gooy inspired shirt and hat!!
