Meeting Dave Smith

Okay, so I'm going down to Disney next weel/ I'll be staying at the pop centurey for 2 nights, adn then old key west ofr 3. My aunt who lives in Cocoa Beach, wich is aobut n hour away from Orlando, knows Dave Smith (the Disney Archivist) and he's going to be there that week. So me, and my aunt are going to have dinner with him at Jiko's on the 20th. Most of you probably don't know who Dave Smith even is though. When they had Disney Magazine he always had a section. And in the Disney Newsletter that you can get in your e-mail he has a section there too. People would ask him questions about Disney and he would answer them.

I can't wait for Disney. 9 more days. Althought this is like my 10th time I'm still excited.

Thats sounds great! I would love to be able to sit down with Dave for a couple hours and pick his brain. I'll bet he has some interesting trivia and stories to tell. Perhaps you can suggest that he takes a week(oh, say first week in Feb) and do some thing similar to "Dine with an Imagineer" at WDW....And then let me know! LOL.

Yea, I do have a signed copy of "Disney A-Z", and a signed copy of Disney: The first 100 years.

Just got back from the World. Dave Smith was a very nice person. He gave me a sheet of stamps that were issued after Walt Disney died from the 60's. My aunt was with us so she didn alot of the talking. But it was still pretty cool.
