Meeting at Disney

Has anyone met anyone else from the board while they are on holidays? Just to say hi or have coffee?

Yes we ran into Dan Murphy from the boards while walking through MGM and had a lovely conversation and a few pictures were taken. I know there have been lots of meetings with DIS folk!

We've met up with lots of people that we've met here on the boards at Disney. Last October we flew down a day early just to meet up with someone that we'd met through the boards and cruised with. This turned out to be a great thing as we ended up flying out the morning of October 12th (the day of the snowstorm) rather than October 13th which we probably would have otherwise and then we would have had trouble making our cruise on the 14th since the airport was closed for part of the 12th and 13th.

On our last trip in June we stayed with friends we originally met on the boards and met up with other people for lunch and touring that we met through the boards.

Yup, on our cruise this past January (was it that long ago?!? we met up with a bunch of DISers from the cruise board. They were all super nice people and it was nice to be able to say hello to others when you ran into them onboard. It also helped cause I had lots (and I mean lots) of questions as a first-time cruiser. Everyone was super helpful!!

We are going in July is it Lime Green I should be looking out for?? I know people meet up at Disney, Keep me posted if anyone else is meeting up. We will be there end of July for 1 week

We have meet up with people from the DIS, that was a planned meeting in 2000 and we still keep in touch!

We met Maryliz at the front gate to MK for the MNSSHP in 2005. We knew each other by our costumes. We also met Steamboat Marti and her hubbie Magic Kingdom by surprize at the party, he knew us by the shirts I made and we didn't know it but DS posed for a picture of Angiebelles boyfriend dressed as a wrestler. We didn't know it until we got home.

HI Kath! I remember that day like it was yesterday! I saw Braeden's Bellhop costume coming my way and knew it was your family instantly!

We ran into Zurg and Zurgswife once.

I met a lady once on the bus back to the resort who had the LGMH on her backback.

I think it's fun finding the LGMK on the windows at the resorts. my DH really doesn't "get" my excitement, though. LOL

Any of you CDN DIS'ers going early September. We are going to be there Sept 2 to 10 at the POP.

We should set up an ALL CDN Meeting LOL. Any takers. I am sure we could set something up for an evening or something.

My wife and son and myself will be getting to the world on Sept 2 early. So who knows...I have posted another thread seeing if other CDN's want to meet up and we'll just have ourselves a great big CDN party LOL.

we're at POP Dec 23 until the 31st. My Husband doesnt get the excitement either, if he had his way we'd be on a beach on the Gulf Coast instead. I'm hoping with us being there that long he'll get into it.

We're going Aug 22nd to Sept 1st. We booked the Bounceback deal last Dec so have Free Dining.

We're at POR this time, so hoping to meet up with cdnmickeylover one day, as they're at the same resort.

Well have fun! I must say I'm kinda jealous...I so need a vacation. Things at the hospital are really hairy canary right now. I'm part time but working almost full time but they are the craziest shifts...nights then days 24hr later. Everyone is getting kinda testy, me included. I did get a few days off in August, so I'll be headed to the states and checking out the Disney Store in Flint then on to Birch Run. Have a great time. Kathy
