I saw that they're listing the meet for Anna and Elsa back at 9 next week, so I was wondering what the best strategy would be for getting there? Like, what entrance should I be at, and time? And for people who did do the 9am meet, what was their experience in terms of waiting and stuff?

Be at the Main Gate at Epcot by 8:00 AM.:)

Thye "typically" open unadvertised at 8:45 AM.

Then SPEED WALK to Norway!:)

This!

I got to the gate about 8:05 last week, was third in line at a turnstile, sped right on up as soon as it opened. I was in the back of the first bend of the line before it turns, maybe about 15 groups back behind all the Akershus people, but they were unusually quick and I managed to meet them by 9:30. If you have someone in the group who can speed-walk you should definitely meet them by 10, though.

I have a question. This is my granddaughters favorite and I won't be standing in no 6 hour line. Before we knew that Anna and Elsa would be there we made ressies at akersher at 8:05. I know we are always finished before 9 am, but has anyone tried to do this and then get in line for the Anna and Elsa if they open at 9. Is it up in that area or someplace else. I'm blind so I can not even picture exactly where they would put them, it seems so small in that area to me.

I was told about an entrance by the Boardwalk to attempt? They said it was closer, but I'm concerned with it not being open and losing out early. I'm super determined to meet them by 1015 latest because I have a Soarin FP at 940-1040(which I can change no problem) then Akershus at 1050.

In my experience, the International Gateway is not as "consistent" with the 8:45 AM opening.:)

Yes you can do that. The line is opposite to the entrance of Akershus, they meet in the gift shop.

Okay, good, thank you for that. It's one of my top things to do while there, and I want to make sure I have the shortest wait, haha

The way that some are getting the shortest wait is to make a 8 AM reservation for Akershus, then just paying the $10 per person for not showing up and getting in line for A&E instead once they get there. So I've heard. I don't suppose they can be forced to go to the restaurant.

Another reason for the $10 per person no show fee.

Alternately they send one person to wait in the line and hope the others finish with breakfast before 9, because if you're not in the line when it's your turn to go in, you don't meet the princesses.

This stuff fascinates me, that some guests are willing to pay $30-40-50 in no show charges so they can meet princesses without waiting an hour after the park opens - while they still had to wait an hour before the park opened - Disney may be watching.

I think it's crazy to miss the breakfast. My reservation is at 1050, and being so close to the day, there's no spots in that at all. I'm totally fine with hauling over to Norway and waiting then. That way I have the rest of the day to do with what I will then look at a longer wait in the middle of the day, which I was going to do.

According to reports Elsa and Anna are back meeting at 11am because of staffing issues.

I would go here are Epcot Rope Drop and plan to wait the 2 hours

Seen a couple of posts over the holiday weekend that afternoon waits were approaching 4-5 hours so yes, you should get there ASAP.

As far as the above post, if it's true you definitely need to get there at 9. You'll wait at least 2 hours but that's better than waiting 4.
