We went to see Meet the Robinsons today and I really enjoyed it, there were several hidden Mickeys that were easy to spot and a nice tribute to Walt at the end. I must admit to blubbing a bit at the end and DD asked if my eyes were watering I said no it's my cold :rotfl2:

OOh! The porky pies some people tell! :rotfl:
Glad you enjoyed Meet the Robinsons Jo, i've heard it's very good. :thumbsup2

Most of the people on the CB hated Meet the Robinsons. However I saw the advanced previews and I loved it. :)

Hidden Mickeys? I never notice anything secret until someone else tells me!! :lmao:

We went to see it a week ago and we both loved that film! I think it's one of the best Disney films that has come out in a long time, as I feel the quality in recent years has been slipping (except Lilo and Stitch). John Lasseter has really got things working properly again there, and I think we can expect many more good things to come. I also loved the old-style hand animated short at the beginning, and am so glad they're training up future artists like this again. But that bit right at the end was so mean! Goodness me I was crying! Glad to know I wasn't the only one, though (muttermuttercoldmyfootmuttermutter ;) ). For all those who haven't seen it, do! :thumbsup2

When I watched the old style short I was like "what the heck? It must be something stupid to entairtain the kiddies. We shouldn't of come to this sitting!!!" :lmao:

I have to agree with the people on the CB! We (DH, DD9 and I) saw this a couple of weeks ago and thought the beginning was ok the middle was terrrible and the end of the film was really good. At one point I was looking at my watch wondering how much longer I was going to have to sit there!

we saw it on sunday, i loved the short at the beginning and the tribute to walt.
i also loved the fact that the future was called Todayland :lmao:

I am glad I am not the only one Jo. I felt a right wally welling up at the Walt quote - jut blamed it on hormones. I was no better on Monday when we went to see Beauty and the Beast.

I don't think it is a classic but I still enjoyed it very much and yes I did have a little cry at the end :)

Wanted to go and see this with DS this week, but I gave him a choice and he chose Mr Bean's Holiday! So I had to sit through 90 minutes of that when I could have been watching Meet the Robinsons. Never mind, there's always next week!

(And Mr. Bean was quite funny!) ;)

Sara. :)

to be honest I really don't think I would enjoy it, I don't like the look of the trailers at all, but hearing such mixed reviews I feel compelled to go and see it! I will check it out next weekend.

Not sure about this, but may give it a try :)
