As you may know, Wayne Allwine, a Walt Disney Studios voice-over artist who was the voice of Mickey Mouse for more than three decades, passed away in May 2009. Since that time Disney fans have been wondering who would be his replacement.

On Saturday, June 26, Disney fans in the Sacramento, California area will have the opportunity to meet voice artist Bret Iwan, who is now the man behind the mouse. Bill Farmer, the voice of Goofy, will also be present to greet fans and sign autographs.

Meet the voices of Mickey Mouse and Goofy at the Stage Nine Entertainment Store at 102 K Street in Old Sacramento on June 26 from 12 noon to 3 pm.

The chapter of the Disneyana Fan Club (NFFC) Carol and I belong to, California Capital Disneyana Fan Club, will have a table at the event. If you are interested learning about the Disneyana Fan Club, please stop by our table.

More information and directions to the event are available at this link:

We go up to the Sacramento area often (Lincoln). I'm a little confused though. You put June 26th and July 26th so I'm not sure which one it is. Also, I couldn't find more info on the link. Sounds very cool. :thumbsup2 You might want to post this also in the Disneyland community forum if you haven't already as there are many regular poster from N.Calif. over there who might be interested.

Thank you for pointing out my error. I've changed it to Sunday, June 26. I'd keep checking the link as we get closer to the date to see if more information becomes available. They only received confirmation on Thursday that the event was a go because Disney hasn't officially announced the name of the artist performing Mickey's voice.

Thank you for the suggestion of posting this to the Disneyland Community Forum.

Ok, good to know. Now I'll have to see if I can schedule a trip to the in-laws up there at the same time. :)
