We are planning our 8th trip this June. My daughter (she is 9 ) has decided that she wants to go evn more autograph crazy than before. I know where to meet characters most of the time. Does any one have any tips other than the common places to meet characters? How about some of the more scarce characters that you've seen and where.

If anyone has character questions I have been surfing the web for a while know and have used tons of sites to compile a spread sheet of all the characters I could find and where they have been found by various people in the past.

Thanks

Last month we saw 2 characters we'd never seen before.

They were like "Chip & Dale Space Rangers?" Of course we'd seen Chip & Dale dozens of times, but never in these costumes...they had green vests on.

Does anyone know what they were supposed to be?

While riding the Tomorrowland Transit Authority in Tomorrowland, we'd looked down & there they were, in these green vests, over in an empty area with hardly any people....it was to the left of the Buzz ride. We only saw them because we were up so high...most people on the ground did not know they were there.

DD11 & DS7 wanted to jump off the ride & get over to them. We hurried off & they ran over to them. There was hardly anyone there. I was disappointed there was not a PhotoPass photographer though...they take better pics than I do.

The chipmunks with the green vests are the Space Chipmunks. Sometimes they are with Space Pluto. So far I've seen regular Chip and Dale, Rescue Rangers, and Space Chipmunks.

My DD10 is now very into characters. She made her own autograph book with a name and picture on each page of who she wants to see. When we are part way through the trip I let her pick 2-4 more obscure ones and we ask a CM to call the character hotline for us. We than spend the next 2 days tracking them down at the places and times we were told.

As a character guide. They have a schedule of what characters will be where when and will happily let you know--at least in our experience.

If you go to mickey's judges tent in toon town you can get up close and personal with the big cheese himself. Also inside a gift shop you can choose from three lines of characters who you want. Or simply go in all three and then you will have atleast six different autographs. Sometimes there are villians as well as princesses. I have also done character meals to get quite a few more autographs. These are the best suggestions I have for you and to have fun. :cool1:

In Epcot, go to the back of Morocco, as well as in the United Kingdom. One place in MK where we stumbled upon some characters was the building on Main ST. on the right as you enter MK (can't remember what it's called). We went in one hot day and were just poking around and all 7 dwarfs started coming out one by one.

I have been seeing alot of pictures of all 7 dwarves lately. I hope that this is going to become common. We have only gotten Dopey(several times) and Grumpy once.

thanks to all for the tips keep them coming, I've picked up a few new spots and characters.

It sounds like the DD want to spen just about all of her time looking for autographs so the more I can find for her the happier she'll be (so the happier I'll be)

Also if there is anyone who wants to get character auto's I have a spread sheet that I'm putting together from tips and other websites, with Character names and where they have been found.

Don't know if this was a fluke or not and it was in Oct 2002 so a few years ago now BUT...we have arrived at MK a bit later than anticiapted so we decided to just hop on the train and take it to Toon Town. While on the train they announced that Toon Town didn't open til 10am. We were able to get off at the station at 9:45 and wait there until Toon Town opened. When we got off we saw 5 characters there at the station Baloo, Rafiki, Timon, Friar Tuck, and someone else. We virtually had them to ourselves and were even able to get a photo with all of them together.

Good Luck in her quest!

I'ld love a copy of your spreadsheet-I'll send you a PM.

I've seen the fox and the bear from the Splash Mountain ride outside of that ride near the waiting area. At Animal Kingdom's Conservation Station we've seen Pocohontas and Rafiki. We've also seen Flick at AK. Morocco at Epcot is great for Aladdin, Jasmine and the Geenie, and I've seen Mary Poppins in the United Kingdom. Main Street in the MK, just outside of the railroad seems to always be buzzing with character activity.

We had great luck at the Epcot Character Connection in January. It was our first stop and we saw Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Chip and Dale, Pinocchio and Captain Hook and Mr.Smee.
