I got my "Official" Response from one of the designers that I've chosen to make my wedding gown and I'm Uberly Excited!!! :yay:

Here's some parts of the email . . . .

Dear Meesha,
Warm Greetings!
Our Bridal gown starts at php 30,000 ($600) in duchess satin fabric and php 40,000 ($800) in Mikado silk fabric. The price actually depends on the styles, flow of beadworks and fabric . We can give discounted rate of php 4,000 ($80) each for maid of honor, Bridesmaid, and secondary sponsor. The rate of php 3,000 ($60) each for flower girl and php 5,000 ($100) each for mother.
A pina barong & pants set with inner shirt for the groom is php 8,500 ($170). A Piña Jusi Barong &Pants set for male entourage like bestman, groomsmen or secondary sponsor is php 4,500 ($90) each and a piña jusi barong & pants set for bearer is php 3,000 ($60) each .Please send a complete and detailed list of your entourage so that I can prepare you a quotation.
You might have design from a magazine cut out which you like to email us through jpeg format for proper quotation. In this way, you’ll get to know if your desired design suit our package rate.
We would like to invite you to come over our shop so that we could present to you some of our finished product to help you familiarize with the diff. Styles, kinds of beadworks and type of fabric that are used.
We only give out designs to clients provided there’s an initial deposit of php 5,000 ($100) made. This will also serve as your reservation fee. We normally advise our clients to make their reservation six months prior to their wedding. A 50% downpayment required upon confirmation. This can be done by a relative living here or thru bank transfer. Balance can be settled upon pick up of the bridal gown.
For client’s living abroad ,we can email you a measurement. You may go to a tailor near you or just follow our instruction before you email it back to us after you fill out the form. We request our client to be here in the phils. At least 2 weeks prior to wedding date. The gown will be ready then with beadworks on it. Since measurement are nit done here, alterations are to be expected. We will repair the gown before we set the pick up date.
Please visit our website www.edwardteng.com to see more of Mr. Edward Teng’s design.
Hope to be service to you soon.

Regards,
Zyndee

This is one of the vendors (I'm thinking) I'll be getting my wedding gowns made. I haven't really given anything in detail, but I will - Although the prices are ALOT cheaper than custom made gowns here in the US, I'm pretty sure I can either work out a bargain OR look for a designer that would make it for less.

Can't Wait!!

On the side note, Once I'm done with everything, I'll be posting my budget and Expenses to future Disney Brides to Be to get a feel of how it's like . . . I really don't see that much on the boards, but hey - I'm giving credit where credit's due :)

up next . . . . meesha's Wedding Newsletter Dilema and Escape or Wishes?

that cake design is amazingly cute, and a nice twist to wedding cakes. where did you find that cake? just wondering if there were some other cute cake designs.

Hi Monana! Sorry I haven't had the chance to post back.

I found this cake from a UK Bakery

www.bigweddingcakecompany.co.uk

I got pretty tired seeing the same cakes from here (US) so I started looking for ideas from the UK and Asia. They are pretty darn creative!!!

Enjoy!

Thanks so much for posting up the address. I know what you mean about all the cakes looking the same. hope the rest of your planning is going well.

I love your PJ! Your family is so cute and your DD's list of demands made me laugh out loud! Smart girl, knows what she wants!

I grew up in the Bay Area (and now live in the Pacific Northwest) but I would like to eventually move back to San Fransisco. Cost of living is so high and real estate is just so expensive there, otherwise, I'd be back there in a heartbeat!

Lots of my family still live in SF and watching various cousins plan weddings, I totally understand about the cost of a big wedding there verses a WDW wedding. WDW is a bargain, comparatively! Have you decided between an Escape or Wishes wedding yet?

That is so cool that your gown will be custom designed and made for you for such a great price! I also really like your cake. I might just have to file that idea away for when I get married!

Hope the rest of your planning goes well! Keep us updated!

Just found your PJ... and yes... go PINAYS!!! I too am Filipino and am planning my wedding for August 31, 2008. I wish I would've thought of going to the Philippines to get my dress made! What a great idea. Oh well. I love my dress... but that would've saved me a lot of money. I'm still debating on whether the boys should wear tuxes or barongs. DF is American so he won't really get it, but I thought it would be nice for my side of the family. He'll probably wish he was wearing a barong half way through the wedding when it's 95 degrees outside! Anyway, good luck in your planning!!!

I haven't read your planning journal yet (just the first post) but I freaked out when I saw your DF wearing a barong. My boyfriend is filipino too. Ha ha I wasn't expecting to see a barong on the DIS. Well maybe now my boyfriend will actually consider a disney wedding one day?

Hi Everyone!! I've been keeping eyes on this for so long. . and have been trying to log on to my old log on, but it boots me out everytime. I sent at least 20 emails to all IT supports, but never get an answer. In reality, I was quite irritated. So, I made another one!

I hope that's okay with the moderators. . . .

Twiu - Thanks! Go PINAYS! =) I was lurking on your WJ too and I'm impressed! I think Americans look so cute in barongs. LoL. Has he tried one on yet?

Bostonbride6292008 - Thanks for the Cake Compliment! I sure hope they'd be able to pull it off!

Bluesaturn - DF wasn't really into the Disney Wedding, but now he wouldn't want anything else. . . . Keep insisting, he'd get lured in LoL!

Back to planning!

I called DFTW Yesterday and am waiting for their call. . . . really really nervous but set to set the date ; ) YAY!!!

Welcome back!! I hope you get your date!! Your dress looks beautiful! Is that what you went with?? did you decide Wishes or Escape?
