So I've been in love with the one dress since I first saw it last year sometime. I did a little research and found out that, that dress has been out since 2003, I think? So I figured.. ok it’s been around for about 5 years, it’s not going anywhere. WRONG! Haha my cousin and I went to David’s Bridal yesterday to try on that dress. I tried on the summery one at a different place and liked it, but wasn’t totally in love with it. So the woman brings out the dress and I tried it on and lovedddd it!! Then she tells me, it’s being discontinued soon and the color I want will need to be ordered, but once its discontinued, I wouldn’t be able to. So after some serious thinking, and trying on veils and everything with it (not to mention not wanting to take it off) I told the lady I wanted to order it. It was also on sale since it’s being discontinued so that’s a plus. I know everyone wants to look amazing and all that, but I don’t think you need a couple thousand dollar dress that gets worn one day to look amazing.

Anyway , so my cousin took a few pictures, forgive the horrible faces, she never said when she was taking them and I’m like blinking and talking in half of them haha. I was so excited to go that I realized I forgot my camera when I picked up my cousin, but I think the phone pictures turned out ok.

First off, this is the color I want, not the emerald green.

I just love the back of the dress!

Yea for you! That dress is beautiful and it will look amazing with the sage green. And yes, I agree with you in that you do not need to spend thousands of dollars on a dress for one day if you don't want to.

So I did some reseach, even though its early, and so far I've found out that Rev. Knox is available on our date, so is Randy Chapman . I love all the pictures I've seen of Randy's, and I've seen a lot of good reviews about Rev. Knox as well. Rev. Knox did say that October is the busiest month, but our date should be fine. He also said that their deposit is refundable, but I'm not sure yet. He did send me the sample ceremonies, so that we could cut and paste to create our own, but it's still reeeeally far away. It would be nice to get this stuff out of the way though.

As for Randy, I'm not sure if his deposit is refundable, but he did give us a discounted price for the intimate package since it's only going to be the 2 of us. and that if we needed to change our date since nothing is set with Disney yet, he will either apply that deposit to the new date, or refund it then.


I am starting to look into hair and make-up people, just to get a feel for prices and what is out there, and its definintly not as expensive as I thought it would be... which is definitly a plus.

I just have one last thing to figure out, but I'll probably post that in a seperate thread only because it might get more answers that way haha.

ok well.. I'm done rambling for now. Just trying to get my thoughts in order

So there's nothing much more to update, just rambling. I mailed in my deposit for Rev. Knox and Randy Chapman, and it just makes me reeeeally excited!! (Yes, I know, there's still a long wait ahead) but I think I got a lot taken care of already thanks to everyone on here.

The only thing left is to wait til October to call and reserve (and hopefully get the date and time we want) for Sea Breeze Point. *fingers crossed*!!

Also, DF is starting to get excited. When I'm excited about something, I make it known, and then it gets contagious haha. He said he didn't want to talk about a lot of it yet, just because it's so far away. So this morning he comes home from work, (he works overnight 11-7) and he just came and gave me a hug and said "I'm starting to get excited now" with this huge smile. I don't know, it just made my morning haha.

*sigh* I wish it were at least April so we could go on our vacation. Disney is addicting..

I love the feeling of it becoming more and more real! Heck, we've been engaged since 2005 so it hasn't started feeling real into recently. Isn't it a great feeling???

Lucky! My wedding is 8 days away and I've talked about it so much that when I ask Eric if he is excited (at least 2 times a day) he informs me that I have talked about it so much that he is pretty much used to the idea and its hard to be excited. WTH??? I should kill him

Ok so we're going on vacation in about a month and a half... god I wish it was sooner, I'm getting so antsy!

Anywho, when we go we're going to take a look at Sea Breeze Point and Sunset Point just to see what they look like and which we like better.. I'm still counting on Sea Breeze Point at the moment. So besides the vacation, that's definitly something I'm looking forward to as well.

I also set up a trial appointment with Beaute Speciale for one morning while we're there. I did request Ana, since everyone had such great things to say about her, so we shall see. I normally don't wear any make up at all, but I do want just a little bit of eye make up for the wedding, so that's what she'll be doing when she comes. As for my hair, it's a little longer than shoulder length now, so I'm hoping it grows a bit more before next October haha. I want my hair down with loose curls. I figured they simple enough for them to do and opted to skip that for the trial, plus my hair is naturally wavy, so it shouldn't be too difficult. It's not like its the straight hair that refuses to curl haha.

Does anyone have any pictures of curly hair that they've done by any chance? Just curious to see what they've done.
