Annual pass and Shareholder an using Half Board Plus for the first time

We decided that after such a long journey we would not set an alarm this morning and see when we woke up naturally.
Needless to say we still awoke at 740am so not much of a lie in but we didnt wake the kids until we had picked up breakfast supplies and enjoyed a coffee and a croissant courtesy of Mickey.

We were amazed at the supplies we got....yum...yum

After we were all fed aand dressed we made our way to the Studios for today.

When we had last visited Tower of Terror was under construction so it was nice to see the new attraction.

Juz went for Fast passes for TOT while we stopped for photos. I also did a peak at Crush and at 1016am the queue was 90 minutes!!

WHY they havent done FP for this I DONT KNOW as last trip we hadnt managed to ride I was determined to get a chance this time!!
The three family members who have stronger stomachs joined the Cars queue for about 10 minutes.

We walked over towards Rock N Roller coaster

SS851251.jpg

To find a 5 minute wait time so walked through

SS851253.jpg

We went straight into the ride area only to be told there were technical difficulties. We waited a good 10 minutes and then like everyone else decided to leave the queue. By early afternoon it still hadnt been fixed!

(CONTD)

By now it was time for our TOT FP.

It would be a first time ride for DS9 and hubby who hadnt wanted to ride in WDW. I had previously done it once in 2004 and screamed like a banshee swearing NEVER AGAIN! The older 2 kids were past masters of the WDW version so we all decide to have a go!!

The CM was very good and really played the part!

The queueing area was very atmospheric and before we knew it our turn had come. All I can say is WOW!!! so we acquired another set of FPS!!

Hunger pangs led us to have a quick lunch in Restaurant en Coulisse with Juz having a Tower burger, kids had chicken burgers and I had a bacon burger with chocolate

banana cake that just hit the spot!

Fed and watered we went and saw the queue for Crush was a mere 45mins......said sarcastically but the shortest wait we had ever seen! We joined the line thinking it would give enough time for food to digest.Thankfully it didnt seem too bad a wait but I was disappointed in the lack of theming in the waiting area.

The ride was FANTASTIC and not what I would recommend for little ones as it was quite rough, Sorry to say that would be our one and only ride.
We then had a leisurely drawing lesson to draw Mushu in the Animation studio before our FP for TOT was due. This time my stomach wasnt too keen !!

We debated on returning to DCR for a break before dinner but decided as it was a 6pm booking we would remain at the park as time was getting on.
As a compromise we entered Lights Motor Action for a drink and popcorn break.

The show was great and gave us a welcome break to recharge. As it finished it gave us enough time to walk to catch the last show of Animagique.

We left the Studios about 530pm and headed to the Village.

Our booking was for La Grange at Billy Bobs so we killed time browsing the shops waiting for our time.

The buffett was a choice of Tex Mex food with very spicy ribs, chilli, fajitas, sliced beef or gammon, corn on the cob and lots of salads and accompaniments.
The desserts ranged from brownies, rice pudding, black forest cake, white chocolate cake etc etc!!
Suitably stuffed we enjoyed our meal although the waitress was a bit too handy at clearing up around us.

The previous couple of days were now catching up so we decided to head back to the cabin, DS15 rang his DGF while we watched the disney channel with booze we had brought and before long bed was calling.

I have a 14 and a half son (born 1993) who seems to share with yours the love for the *black hood* look .
Is he in the *hip-hop* moment with a special feeling for Rappers and Eminem :cool1: ?

I just hope this moment goes soon :scared1: LOL

Far from it :rotfl2: he is a *ROCKER* through and through!!!

Trouble was he was having a bad hair week ;) he hates the fact he has

curly hair so when it hasnt been straightened he gets moody and wears his

hood....He was also missing his DGF so I think it was more of a

statement:rotfl:

plus although it was sunny it was COLD and he refuses to be sensible and

wear a coat

KIDS!!! ;)

Oh i suppose a coat is something for old people and not for young rockers-rappers :rotfl2:

Have to agree about the breakfasts at DCR. We had the same as you with 10 croissants between 2 adults and 3 kids. We had enough for a lunch back at the cabin some days :)

ToT is definitely on our today list :)

Looks like you had a great Studios day :goodvibes

looks fab, your pics are great, i really got a feel for dcr, i wonder if we'll stay one day if hubby can be brave enough to do the drive, is it fairly straight forward?

We found it no problem, but I've always enjoyed driving in France :)

to be honest I didnt drive at all although I did offer

as a passenger the trip was fine but obviously tiring ,but hubby said it hasnt

put him off doing the drive again:thumbsup2

(red bull came in handy too :rotfl: )

that's good then, maybe we'll do it one day.
i was also going to ask, did you get AP or SH discount on you half board vouchers?

Does it make sense to use Half Board Plus if you have a Shareholders card? I never booked Half Board Plus because this means 15% reduction. And I also get 15% reduction with my Shareholders card. Or do I oversee something?

Great photos, the studios has certainly changed since last June:thumbsup2 I can't wait to go again.

We found it great to prebudget and not carry cash but also saved us money.

For example meal at Cape Cod 27E and 12E without sodas at 3.50E each.

4 adults 1 child with drinks with 15% Shareholder = 116.88E / £87.01

Half board plus vouchers at time of travelling £16 & £6 = £70 per dayo

Vouchers entitle you to one drink per person

Saving £17.01 just on that one meal :thumbsup2

obviously even more benefit for none shareholders where same meal for 5 with drink each would cost

£102.78 so a saving of £32.78 with half board plus!!!!

There was no discount available for half board :sad2: but we got a great

price with AP for DCR :thumbsup2
