Car all packed and ready to set off
we we had a very long drive ahead of us. We dragged DS15 away from his DGF and we were on our way at 930pm.
Traffic wasnt too bad and thank goodness for M6 Toll road. We arrived after one toilet stop at Eurotunnel @ 220am just in time to be offered without any surcharge the 255am crossing rather than waiting til our alloted time of 430am !! We were instantly boarded without showing passports and very limited customs check and on our way to Calais spot on time.
The journey through to the parks was thankfully uneventful just long and dark roads. As we approached the Parks the sun was just rising which gave a lovely hue to the sky. The familiar skyline with the added bonus of the Tower of Terror beckoned. We pulled into the main car park at 815am and felt we were home!
Off into the parks we go
We enter with a quick bag check and head into Disneyland Park, the first view of the castle always putting a lump in your throat.
Main Street was lovely and quiet and we head over to Discoveryland as is tradition.
A quick blast on Buzz then off to Space Mountain....just the once for me and DS15 but the others dash for another turn.
By now we are peckish so head into Salon Mickey for Pain au Chocolat and Cookies , coffee and juice.
We then renter the park and take the train around the park for a rest.
We then crossed Fantasyland to ride POTC with no wait and strolled through Adventureland. We then headed to Frontierland to watch Mickeys Winter Wonderland.
By now we were ready for lunch so had a short wait for the Cookout BBQ to open
We had Texan platter of ribs and chicken with potato wedges, kids had burger and fries, chicken and fries and Ds9 had kids hamburger menu with icecream. Dream pass discount it came to 38 Euros. DELICIOUS!!
We wandered back through Frontierland amazed at the wait for BTM at 60 minutes and a huge FP queue too! so we jumped around to Phantom Manor with no wait.
By now we were flagging a bit after a long journey so we ambled back through the shops and made our way out of the park.
Everywhere looked lovely in the bright sunshine
