After a morning in Future World, it’s off to World Showcase and my first stop- The United Kingdom. I look around some of the shops for a while before seeking out the hidden park I’ve read about here on the DIS. It’s located behind the Fish and Chips shop and leads down to the Lagoon. It was pretty sunny at this time of the day, but still was a pleasant place to sit and enjoy a lagoonside view. Not too long after that, I noticed that the World Showcase Players were starting their show, so I went and checked it out. As the show is starting, I notice two of the actors in the show standing in the shadows, looking over in my direction, and talking to each other. They have that “we’ve found the perfect stooge for the show” look in their eyes. Uh-oh. First of all, you must know that in all honesty, I’m very shy. I don’t want a ton of attention, I don’t want “happy birthday” ever sung to me at a restaurant, and I really really do not want to be in one of the World Showcase Player’s pick-a-a tourist-out-of-the-audience shows. One of them walks over in my direction. I cringe and tense up. He pulls out King Arthur’s crown. He wouldn’t pick me. Don’t they usually pick some 30 or 40 something dad to be the king? He stands right in front of me and presents the crown to… the 30 or 40 something dad in the family standing right next to me. Yes!!! Perhaps it was one part fun show and two parts relief, but it was great. It even took care of photo #2 for today's scavenger hunt:

After the show, it was almost time for my reservation at Le Cellier, so if was off to Canada. This would be my first time eating here and I was not disappointed. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. I had the Calgary Chicken Sandwich which just might be the best sandwich that I’ve ever had at WDW. Defiantly a winner. After lunch, I spent some time looking around the gardens and shops around Canada before heading over to France. I headed over to Belle’s library to get some photos, but found that Belle and Aurora weren’t there. Instead they were outside in the courtyard. I can’t believe that they had to stand outside in the heat in those hot dresses instead of inside their air conditioned location! I took advantage of the empty library and got a few photos taken inside. It may be just a character location, but it’s a nice looking one. Having gotten those pictures taken, I passed up meeting the Princesses yet again and headed over to Impressions de France. The film and soundtrack are just so beautiful. It makes it a wonderfully relaxing experience. Just what you need on a day of walking around EPCOT. After France, I headed off to Morocco. Looked around the shops there for a while before heading on to Germany. The Courtyard Musicians were playing, so I sat down on a bench and listened for a while. After that, I took some time to look around the pavilion. When I was passing the clock tower, it started going off. It’s so picturesque when the little figures come out and ring the bell. Before heading off to Italy, I get the last picture for the day of the scavenger hunt.

Nice spot that railway garden, eh? As I got to Italy, the World Showcase Players were just starting their performance of “Romeo and Edna”. Cute show. This time, I made sure to sit far enough away that there was no way they would pick me to be in the show. Better safe than sorry, you know. After the show, I headed back to Japan. Looked around the shops and gardens before heading on to America. Inside the main building, there was an exhibit that I had never seen before called “Echos of Africa”. It was all about traditional African art and contemporary art that was inspired by it. Interesting exhibit. By now, it was almost time for American Vybe’s first performance of the day at the America Gardens Theater. I had seen their 15-minute show inside the rotunda, but this was the first time I had seen their full-length stage show. It was absolutely fantastic. They’ve got to be my favorite of all the live musical groups at WDW. They even had the Spirit of America fife and drum corps do a medley of songs to open the show. After the show, I headed off to China.

First stop would be the new “Kingdom of Dreams” exhibit which also serves as the preview center of the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. There’s plenty of concept art, photos, props, and costumes from the soon-to-be-open park. The photo you see above is from one of the attractions created especially Hong Kong- Fantasy Gardens. It’s essentially a character meet-and-greet and garden area for photo opportunities. You can see a design for the statue of Kahn the horse that will be a part of Mulan’s corner of the garden. Interesting to see what’s going into the park. Looked around the rest of the pavilion a bit and headed on to my last stop in Mexico. I knew it would be a long, hot walk back to the bus stop after this, so I made sure to hit El Rio Del Tiempo. It’s a nice, relaxing ride to cool off on. Plus it rarely has much of a line. The last ride of the trip behind me, I head to the bus stop and back to Pop Century.

Didn’t really have anything planned for the evening, so I figured I’d just have dinner at the food court and see what happens from there. I had the Chicken Penne Alfedo which was also good. I’ve been pretty pleased with this food court. Nice selection and the food’s good too. What more can you ask for (except maybe having it be a little quieter, but really it’s not too bad). As soon as I finish, it begins to thunder. Looks like another rain storm. You know, I haven’t gotten one drop of rain at the parks this trip, but it rains daily at the resort. That’s ok. I’ll just head back to the room and call it a night. After three days straight of getting up early and spending the days in the parks, I’m getting pretty tired for the first time this week.

I am enjoying your reports!! The photo scavenger hunt is fun. I think I might implement something similar on our upcoming trip. Looking forward to your next installment.

DJBounce- How cool that my scavenger hunt has inspired you to maybe give it a try too. It's definatly was a great way of not taking the same photos I always take and getting pics of things that other people may never have seen or noticed before. Hope it goes well for you too.
