Thinking about going to MT in December. I haven't been there since I was little, so I really don't remember the food quality. DH and kids have never been. So my question is this, how is the food? I would hate to pay a lot of money and find out that the food is terrbile. Has anyone been there recently? Any thoughts, tips, etc?
Thanks!

We went in November [2009] and the food was good. The chicken, rib [yes, one rib], soup, and dessert was really good. I mean, it's not 5-star but if you like the rotisserie chicken from let's say - Wolfgang Puck Express, then you'll enjoy this one. They are always running promos so go on their website. I just got an email for a 'choose your discount' code - 2 people for $80.00, 3 people for $110.00, and 4 people for $132.00. If you need/want the codes, send me a private message and I'll forward to you. Oh, and the show itself is pretty good.

Good luck.

Jose

You go to MT for the show. If you went to a restaurant and they charged you the kind of money they do for the meal you'd leave in disgust, but it's really something to do while you're watching the show.

I actually enjoy the weird herb-crusted potato they serve. Otherwise, chicken was decent, rib was dry, soup was from a giant can, and the desert was knock-off Sara Lee. It wasn't horrible, but as Purseval said, you don't go to MT for the culinary experience.

I have a photo of the food in my Medieval Times report from last year. Click here to see it, as well as some photos from the show. It's about mid-tier for Orlando dinner show food. Better than Pirates and Arabian Nights but not as good as Sleuth's or Outta Control Magic (the magic show is only pizza and salad but surprisingly tasty).

I've only gone twice, once years ago for Grad Nite and about a month ago.I didn't really remember much about the food from when I went years ago so I was kind of unsure of how the food would be.We had a buy one entry get one free deal, so the show and food for thirty something dollars was fine.I thought the food was just a bit better than what I expected. The chicken was good, the rib was not.The soup, potato and apple pastry were mediocre but not bad.Someone mentioned that Arabia Knights has worse food,is this true cause I was thinking of going there if I could get another deal like the one I got at MT.

Thanks for the info. I have lived in Orlando for 2 years and have always wondered what this was like. we might have to check this out!

It's been a few years since we've been there but from what I remember it was good. I had the vegetarian meal, which was good. My Uncle was upset they didn't give you spoons/forks, LOL. I don't remember anyone complaining about anything other than that though. It was a fun time. :)

I've only been to our local branch but I liked the chicken and potato and the rest was passable. The show is a blast!

As for Arabian Nights, I've heard that the show is really, really good. I always thought we'd try it eventually but have never gotten around to it.

If you really feel uncomfortable eating with your hands, you can request silverware (it will come plastic of course).

Hello. The food is OK, but not great and not horrible. You do get your fill however and drink refills are free. There's a million discounts around for the shows, I'd definitely look into them before paying full price. Good Luck!:teacher:
