Hey all!

Planning a trip to the World in 2010 and me and Ben wanted to go out and do some things offsite and he had mentioned wanting to do the medieval times dinner show and I wanted to know if any fellow DISers here have ever been to the show and what you guys thought of it. We're staying at the Poly and wanted to know the approximate driving time and what not from the Poly to Kissimee. What all do you do at the show and can you dress up (If I can be themed in any way possible for wherever I go especially when I'm in Florida at the World I would love to do it). Thanks bunches.

It has been a few years, but yeah, I've been there. It was a hoot. Guests are divided by color into "teams" that support a single knight. Last time, we were in the court of the victorious green knight. Lots of horses, jousting, a medeval tournament, a magician, a birds of prey show. You are served by a wench-roast chicken, beef, a potato, and a desert. Cola, tea, and sangria are the drinks of the evening. If you get there a little early, you can tour the village and visit a few craftsmen-who conveniently have souvenirs for sale. You get your picture made with a beautiful lady or a dashing knight. Some lucky little kids get to be the honored guests of the evening. All in all, I say it is a great evening.

Yes, we've been. It was a one time only thing for us. It was ok. I'm not a fan of eating with my hands, especially in a dusty place (the air is dust laden given the horses kicking up the chaff...).

The food was pretty basic. Not terrible, not delicious. Edible. Service was ok, but not necessarily individualized.

It's worth a visit if you can get a coupon with a discount. It's better than Arabian Nights, that's for sure.

The falcon was the most impressive part of the entire show!
