Has anyone done Medieval Times lately? I went when I was a kid and was thinking of taking my kids next month.
Should I buy tickets online or can you get them at the gate, or does it sell out?
Thank you

I haven't been to Medieval Times for a couple of years but I really enjoyed it when I did. I say go for it!

We have done Medeivel Times a few times in Orlando as well as Chicago area(closer to where we live) The Orlando castle can be very crowded and we have always gone to Disney during quiet times of the year. I had gone as a teenager and I don't think the show has changed all that much over the years. My DD absolutely loves the show. No matter how or when you get the tickets go early to get the best seating. It's sort of based on when you get to the castle even if you get the upgrade royalty package you will be guaranteed the first three rows but if you are there early you can get front row. If you choose to get there early you will have aloooooong time to stand around and do nothing (there is a bar but drinks are fairly pricey). We go early because we think it's worth it, however, I can totally see how others may not feel the same way. HTH:)

Sorry, I don't think it's worth the price. We went there with high hopes, but the show was boring. Maybe we got the actors on an off day, but they didn't even seem into their roles at all. It seemed rote and boring to them (talking about the knights here; the rest did OK).

Bottom line: at $50 per adult (plus all the charges they try to ding you with once you're there), it's insanely overpriced.

We've been going to this dinner show for years in Orlando and now we have one in Maryland and we've even been there once and recently was talking about going sometime in the fall with a big family group. We love it, but as a PP said if you go with extremely high expectations then like many other things you might be in for a bit of a dissapointment. I would recommend it!

The show is very entertaining, and the food was pretty good-not 5star good but pretty good for a dinner show. Remember they aren't just feeding a few people they can feed upwards to a few thousands of people on a given weekend since they do a couple of shows a day. My youngest is just 2.5 and we haven't taken her just yet but my oldest who is now 9.5, her first show was at 16months, then at 4.5 and again for her 6th b-day here at the one located in Maryland where we live and she loved it each and every time. I can't wait to take our youngest baby girl in the fall.

If you're thinking about doing the one in Orlando there are coupons you can get that will save your family money on the show. We've done that and saved enough to make it an even better time than when we've paid full price.

So, you're saying that the fun varies in inverse-proportion to the check?

Personally my family and I really love Medieval Times. We've been to the castles in Orlando, New Jersey and Maryland and our next drive down trip to Disney will be an overnighter in South Carolina to visit their castle. I always book on line. You can pick your date and time, pay and print your tickets. We love the Royalty package and have all but one time sat in the front row. I like the extras you get with the package, depending on the castle, sometimes a picture with the Lady or Lord of the castle, sometimes a DVD of the show and always a program and banner. When my daughter was 5 she was chosen as the fair princess and two years ago I recieved a rose from one of the knights. Just a great time, with lots of cheering, food and fun. Hope you decide to go. You'll have a great time!:goodvibes

Not a fan-my kids like it but I would rather spend my money on eating at the parks and what not.

I'm sure everyone has a different aspect on the MT. My wife and I are both 24 and every single time we've gone to orlando for disney we've eaten here. We really get into though with the clapping and full on screaming. We also tend to get the people around us very into it also. We always paid for the royal seat so everytime we've been upfront. My wife actually got the scarf from the white and black knight one time. Again we loved it every single time but there are many other dinner shows to try. Arabian nights was another great one but I like medieval times better.

I was there in January and had a great time, I say go for it. In May we are planning to try Arabian Knights and Pirates Adventure hopefully they will br just as good.

Go to their website medievaltimes.com, click on your castle and should find a link that will give you a discount code. DO NOT purchase online until you submit the code or it will void it out. Hope this helps. Have a great tiime. We did.

 :yay: LOVE MEDIEVAL TIMEs:yay:

The kids go bonckers and I love it too!. We'll be there in June, we usually go after a day at Typhoon Laggon. Makes for an expensive day but fun filled!

Arabian nights, O.K., Pirates a little better, but Medieval TImes the best!

Enjoy!

If your kids like horses/knights/kings, go for it! my boyfriend loves that stuff and he had so much fun there on his birthday. If theyre not that into it, it might not be as much fun. But i think for a special occasion, the price is worth it. it was fun for me to watch:goodvibes
