Have any of y ou ever done it? I have 4 kiddies, 3 of them boys and one who would like to be a boy :lo They're 11, 9, 7, 5.

I'm wondering if it would be worthwhile.

We have that Australian dinner here near movieworld. We probably will never go, we have no interest in it but I think a pirate or medieval dinner might be more interesting, plus, America seems to do these things much better.

We've been to Medieval Times in Orlando and to be honest it was better than I expected. A bit cheezy but kind of fun and the food was pretty good I thought for one of those themed kind of events. Agree not the kind of thing I would normally do but when on holidays..........

What ever you do don't go to Arabian nights. It was horrible, nasty food, entertainment was not what it should have been. When we went as my DH is in a chair they but us on the main floor, problem is horse litter landed in our food yuck! The food was hospital food, actually hospital food tasted better(it even came in tray like the hospital).During the show they chose a lady from the crowd, that lady had to try and stay on a bucking pony, that ladies pants ripped and the trainer refused to stop and just commented and laughed, poor girl ran crying. Not at all professional .

We did the pirates dinner night with a group of 120 Irish dancers and families in 2008 and 2005 and I thought it was brill. They get kids up on the ship at a certain point as well so your boys might like that. Dunno bout the medieval night as haven't done that one.

Oh My Gosh! That sounds beyond terrible.

Thanks girls. I'm off to talk to hubby about the pirate one and to tell him how HORRIBLE the Arabian nights one is. UGH

We've been to Medieval Times twice, once in LA and the most recent one on our last trip in Orlando. We loved it both times! The children especially really got into it. The food was surprisingly ok. I will try to post some photos if I have time later tonight. If you do go, make you look up coupons online. There is almost always some around to avoid paying full price.

I just realised I don't have the photos on my laptop. Will upload when I get home.

I was thinking that you would be a very clever lady to do that for me while abroad :)

As promised, here are some photos. As you see, the boys REALLY got into it. They had a blast and so did the girls and the adults!

FWIW I was talking to a friend last night who just got back from LA and did both the Medieval and Pirates dinner shows. He has two boys 5 and 8, and said the Pirates show would be best for kids - lots of interaction, getting kids out of the audience etc etc.
He thought the Medieval was more appealing for adults.
