Medicine bottle cotton...

My dfi goes bonkers over the stuff. She won't touch it and hates the sound of it. I must take all of it out of the bottle and she can't see me or hear me doing it.

Anyone else freaked out by it?

Ummm...no, "hates the sound of it"... I just open the bottle and toss it in the trash, easy and easy!!!

Oh yes this is a very common phobia. If you look around you can probably find a support group for her. They're all over.

Totally! It.. squeaks, or something. Quite irritating. I get the same icky sensation rubbing my dry hands on denim. *shudder*

Since she's the girl, I have to say I am freaked out by cotton balls and the noise they make, too. Because I have to side with the girl, I will not say that I've never thought twice about cotton balls or heard them make any noise.
