Can you take prescription pill bottles on planes? I have several medications I am on and will not be checking my bags, can I carry them in my purse on the plane?
You can even take prescription liquid meds on (and even OC meds). They just scan them (I had a dr's note just in case because we had a cooler full of liquid meds for my daughter, but it really wasn't needed).
Pills don't fall under the liquids ban, and are totally fine.
Just agreeing.
The Transportation Security Administration only cares about liquid medications; pills are not a problem at all.
And, you should carry any medication or any equipment that you need on the plane in your carry on luggage. You don't want to check any of those things and have a chance of losing them.
I have some of the plastic containers with covers with the day of the week on the cover. I will keep one for my morning medications and one for my evening ones and load up before the trip. I will never carry any of the actual prescription containers with me and I have never had any problems.
But I also keep a list in my wallet of all the medications I take, both brand and generic name, dosage, and when I take them. If I am ever challanged I can show that list and point out which pills are which. It is very handy since when I go to any medical office I have a complete list of all my medications with me. And once a few years ago when I had to be transported in an ambulance I was able to show it to the paramedics and they could tell basically my medical conditions.
We take a whole pharmacy with us ( JK, but it seems like it). Check out this site www.TSA.gov it has information about anything and everthing you could want to know about airport security. They have a special section section about travelrs with disabilities. I hope this helps.

That is correct. You mat not expect a government website to be helpful, but this one is.
There are some links to specific information pages from the TSA website on the disABILITIES FAQs thread - look near the top of this board or follow the link in my signature. Post #1 of that thread is an index that tells which post to look in for what information. The specific post is about air travel.
I've never been stopped with my meds, which is kind of scary because i bring two types of insulin, needles and even a 3 inch needle that's on my glucogan pen.
You definitely should carry them on. You never know when a checked bag is going to head off to a different destination than you!
I've seen them allowing scissors and all kinds of things that are medical related. In traveling with my Mom we have never been questioned about the pills which is the only type of medication she carries.
