I booked a trip for my parents to go to WDW in August. They will be staying at Pop Century, where the room rate does not typically include a refrigerator. Because my parents are diabetics and on medication, will WDW make a medical refrigerator available to them for no charge? I am sure they can get a note from their physician.

you will get a free fridge for medical reasons, just have it noted on your reservations that you need one.

I had never had to pay for a refrigerator, this was before the mods had them. You could note it on your reservation that they need one for medical reasons. I am diabetic as well and have never had a note either. It sure doesn't hurt to have one, but I was never asked for one. They should tell them at check in that they need one to store their medication. I am pretty sure that you do not have to pay if it is a medical reason.

I had a frig for medical reasons and there was no charge, however, at check-out it was listed on my bill. It was a clerical error and was immediately removed when I brought it to a CM's attention. :)

We've had this happen three different times, but it was easily taken care of after a trip down to guest services.

Only one time was we asked to show my mom's insulin, but I think that CM was new because she took forever to check us in. She also asked to see my Annual Pass, to verify it for the AP discount on the room and then for some reason just kept staring at it, as if to check if it was a forgery or something. Anyway, she was really strange.:rolleyes1
