I am having the weirdest problem--I can't stop swallowing. I have a cold, so my throat is a littl scratchy and my head is congested. But the constant swallowing was going on before this. I can't pinpoint exactly when, but it's gotten dramatically worse this week. I mean,I'm swallowing probably 10 times a minute. And sometimes it feels like I can't swallow and it leaves me with a panicky feeling. My mouth is very dry, made worse by the sudafed I'm taking to dry up the nose, and my throat is really getting...not raw, but...hmmm...tired?
I promise you I'm not crazy. I'm taking a lot of meds and I'm wondering if,by chance, this could be a side effect? I really don't feel bad and I haven't run any fever, so I don't think this is strep. I've had strep throat and *that* sore throat felt way worse, like someone had cut my throat. I feel like I'm rubbing the inside of my throat constantly.
