Medical emergency- cancelling a reservation help?

If you have a medical emergency(hospitalization) and are unable to go . Do you know what the policies are??

I am waiting for the reservation numbers Nd will be calling but am looking for advice here

Depends if you have a package or room only. Room only, 5 days before arrival with no penalty. Packages after 45 days before arrival you will get everything but your deposit back ($200). Hope that helps.

If you re-schedule and push your trip out a couple of months, you may not incur a penalty. If you cancel outright, the pp has it right.

And if you can just move your trip forward to another date, I have had them apply my deposit towards that trip and not lost any of my money... keep calling and going up the chain if need be. I find Disney is VERY understanding when it comes to medical emergencies. Personally, for a WDW trip, I will never buy trip insurance but to each his/her own as I don't find it necessary. They are very accommodating if you can just move your dates forward! Good Luck! I hope you are still able to go in the future!
